Don't want to sound overly negative towards BG, but today after we scored - bearing in mind they're bottom of the table - I think we should have pressed for the second to kill the game off. Instead I think we/he settled for the draw and invited Burton on to us, which resulted in the inevitable equaliser. If we are going to play this Garnerball style then how did we end up at home, against the bottom of the table team, sat deep in our own half hamstrung with a defensive minded midfield of Upson and Grant?! Great post! Absolutely this, my thoughts exactly. I think the 65-75 usual first substitution(s) was a mistake and helped contribute to them pressing. Agree with most of the score marking (except Harries being defensively decent unless his effort counts as a shot on goal!).... great all round post.

Jaakkola 7 very little to do but pulled off a fantastic save when required from harries miscue
Ehmer 6 solid without being fantastic. Had a fairly easy game with no direct opponent. Didn’t look comfortable in possession and I would be tempted to replace with Kilgour. Baldwin 6.5 very good defensively made some important blocks and won most things in the air. Gave away possession needlessly a few times with wayward passes Harries 6.5 looked calm on the ball apart from his sliced clearance which nearly resulted in a O.G. Played to many direct passes compared to recent weeks.
Hare 6.5 some very good crosses into the box which should of resulted in a couple of goals. Needs to get into the game more and get himself higher up the pitch as his crosses could be vital this season in creating chances Grant 7 his best performance in a rovers shirt so far. Broke up play well and always offered himself as an option to receive the ball. Got caught in possession a couple of times and needs to get his head up quicker as he seems to dawdle on the ball. Westbrooke 6 spent his time far to deep collecting the ball off his centre backs. Clearly has talent but needs to affect the game more. To many of his passes were sideways and backwards yesterday which slowed the tempo down. McCormick 5 disappointing performance as never really got himself into the game. The signing of Oztumer puts his position under threat so was expecting a similar performance to last week. Tutonda 6 defensively solid and never let his man get the better of him. Wasnt able to offer anything going forward as burton made sure he was pressed back. Didn’t really get involved in the game and gave away a silly foul throw.
Daly 7.5 MOTM worked hard and anticipated and took his goal brilliantly. Hanlan 6.5 worked hard and was a menace to burtons back line. Really needed to do better with his chances as missing opportunities will cost us this season. The header was a great opportunity and a shot he pulled wide of the post really should of been played inside to a free Daly.
Subs: Upson 6 got on the ball and played some good forward passes to set us away on attack. Needed to work harder defensively as that was what he was bought on for. Nicholson 6 unlucky with his header onto the bar. Shows some real class with his touches and pacy running. Need to find a way to get him into the starting lineup. Oztumer NOLE
Ref 7 reffed the game well but should of done better with a blank any handball for a penalty Burton 5 came for a draw and got it. Didn’t cause any problems other than the pressure they put on for 15 minutes after going behind.
