It would also keep a lid on hooliganism. But let's remember this is something someone said someone heard, so it's not exactly official govt policy. You say that but I’ve seen many a fight started over a pack of steradent tablets in the blackthorn end. Blimey....thought it was Viagra....

We could have a designated stand for the oldLady Gardens. Isn’t the West Stand that already? Anyone else noticed you pay extra in West Stand v East Stand as an Over 65?

As I'll be 60 early December I think over 60s only on match day, nice armchairs on the black thorn terrace, waitresses bringing beer and snacks, and free blankets for cold afternoons.

If only full price tickets were available I don't think many over 65s would go. Nah, proper fans us.

I've not heard that suggestion from anywhere, if I'm honest. Come to think about it though, banning over 60's at the mem would be a good way to limit crowd numbers and ensure social distancing as there would be very few people left, judging by the average age of the crowd last season. It would also keep a lid on hooliganism. But let's remember this is something someone said someone heard, so it's not exactly official govt policy. It does have the sound of official government policy though, doesn't it? I mean, they are making it up as they go along.

How about no over 60s or students? Then they can meet up elsewhere and blame each other for everything leaving a less polarised atmosphere at the mem.
I really can't see this happening. You can't seem to impose restrictions based on geography, so imagine the fuss that will be created by a bit of age discrimination.

Incredible amount of ageism on here.
Pretty much all ages are crap at social distancing in my experience. It seems to have been completely forgotten that we are in the middle of a pandemic.
