Significantly as the table starts to take shape we have played 4 of the top six (live table)

Great result - clean sheet too. bit of a strange game - don't know if we played well or not. Also, slightly surprised it was only 1 -0. Both sides had some very good chances and of course Ehmer came to the rescue too.
Otzumer impressed when coming on - he could be an excellent signing.

Much better second half we saw it out well and also had a couple of really good chances to add a second. Some good individual performances again, well done Ehmer for the clearance off the line and a good game along with it.

Fantastic result. Sticking with a settled side is paying dividends. We have some real intent on the bench and the first 11 are having to earn the shirt.
There will be ups and downs this season with a young team and a manager learning his trade, but if we look long term I’m confident we will be looking at top 6 in the next few seasons.
Encouraging signs winning away again, well done Ben and team, our patience is starting to pay off!

I thought we played pretty well 2nd half. Shrews are a good side but we kept them out, pressed well and countered a few times. Good away performance. |

Thoroughly enjoyed that second half. On the whole I thought we deserved the win. Yes shrews had two good chances but I thought we had more clear cut chances to win the game. Our passing wasn’t as accurate tonight but I will take a ugly away win against a decent league one side. The one thing I take from the game is in my opinion we need to get Nicholson and Oztumer in the starting line up

If the stewards weren't throwing Weetabix onto the pitch throughout, that shows some serious disrespect for the opposition, and explains why Shrewsbury lost in my opinion. |

An unconvincing win but it's a win nonetheless. Winning a game when not played well is a good sign. I thought we played better in the 2nd half compared to our 1st half.

Really good second half performance. Shrewsbury ran out of steam in the last 15 minutes and we killed the game well.
Our squad looking strong when you have the likes of Otzumer, Nicholson & Upson coming off the bench. Always a good sign.

I thought we used a few lives up there. We let them play through us time and time again and rarely won the loose or 50/50 ball. On another day Shrews could have scored 3 but never mind, they didn’t.
Garner needs to tighten the midfield because it’s like a sieve, and it’s been that way in every game I’ve watched.

Solid away performance, really pleased with the result. Wasn’t vintage football but we capitalised on our chance and managed the game well in the second half I thought, Shrewsbury were out of legs and ideas in the last 15 as we ran down the clock.
You’ve got to hand it to Garner, 10 points from the last possible 12. He’s done well to silence his critics.

Sometimes it's easier for players coming on in the last 20 against tiring opposition - Otzumer and Nicholson did look very good though. |

If I'm not mistaken, we've now won more of the last 4 league games than the previous 18 under Garner? Excellent recent run, confidence is building and the team clearly have got some guts about them. UTG!

Don’t like the balance of this midfield. I’m not sure what, but it needs something a bit different. Feels like we’ve taken the lead & then dropped off again, like on Saturday. I feel like Grant is the weak link unfortunately. Can't help but think a dogged agogo to break up play and then give a simple pass to the players around him would be an improvement.
