I actually enjoyed that - thought that I would never say this about a Mickey Mouse Trophy game ever again! Can you control yourself with the thought of Tilly possibly coming back? |

Playing a back three gives the opposition too much space to attack us. We look likely to concede all the time. Didn't really think there was much improvement in our play tonight. Really  I can’t think of one time we went backwards when we could have gone forwards where as under Garner we did it constantly and hardly ever created any chances. Tonight we scored four and could have had seven or eight. Yeah but how much possession did we have eh? That told you didn’t it! |

I enjoyed it thoroughly this evening. Playing Chelsea under 23s is like playing any other league one side. They might make the odd mistake but they’ll make up for it at the other end too! We made a good account of ourselves and demonstrated what we’re capable of. As I said in the match, we can attack but we also need to improve on our defence. Our new manager will see to this I’m sure. Exciting times.

Far better attacking wise which is good to see. Dodgy at the back but its been like that all season, with little happening up front so it was good to see a lot more attacking football on display.
Daly has to play up top with Hanlan. When he went off Hanlan was a little lost, he is far better when he had Daly next to him. Same with Nicholson in the first half, he wasn't as effective when he played further forward during the second half.

Dead easy isn't it, score more goals than the other side and you win the game, under Garner at 3-3 we would have sat back and relied on penalties to get through.Two very winnable away games coming up, only thing missing last night was Garner post match interview, they were collectors pieces.
