A little confused by some of exiledgrecians post.
Although he mentions playoffs, he omits to tell us that they reached the playoff final at Wembley in Tisdales last two seasons in charge. On the last occasion to Coventry who from our own experience against them to be a very good side.
He then went onto MK that Summer and got them promoted in his first season.
As we know after nine games in the higher league the next season he was sacked, so I would suggest MK had hardly given him time to consolidate themselves in league one, after all most Rovers fans would surely bite your hands off for two consecutive playoff finals, in spite of the results and a promotion in three recent seasons.

After a few years of turmoil hopefully we'll have a bit of progress now... Good luck to him, may as well give it a clean slate.
Feel sorry for him that peaky blinders ruined his trade mark flat cap look.

Not unduly worried what other clubs fans say about ex managers as it all seems to coincide with a club’s fortunes, when its going well they’re the best thing since slice bread & when things turn sour they’re useless, you only got to look to the other mob when city beat Man U in the cup a couple of years back Lee Johnson was being hailed as one of the best & wanted managers outside of the premiership & looked what happened to him.
Anyway no good looking back, who ever the new manager is, let’s hope he produces an upturn in performances & results for the Rovers in the future.

Welcome Paul, I believe in what you have done historically and can see how 'on paper' you would be a good fit for our club. Many on here will give you hell and loads will back you. You are fortunate here to be in the set up of an ambitious owner and a decent backroom setup. I believe you have the tools needed to show us all what Bristol Rovers can do. We have a very good and young squad of players which will serve you well. Your new players have plenty of ability and I look forward to you nurturing the very best out of them. Not sure you will favour the term however you are now a GASHEAD and may you forever bleed the blue and white!
