Really I suspect that this is Starmers doing, mates fron Devon. What concerns me is that it took him 11 years to get Exeter a promotion, not that it lasted long. He has very limited knowledge of League One, and no knowledge of the Championship. What does this say to you? To me it says the club are happy at being in league One and intend to make money by developing players for more ambitious clubs. Forget the stadium, after all they first mentioned it in 1978. Totally cannot see that this is anybetter than reappointing DC, he has the same in terms of promotions. Personally I wanted someone who has experience of taking a club in to the the Championship, not an average league 2 manager. And the speed this was done at smacks of "set up" I'm sure Starmer has got far more things to worry about than Bristol Rovers. 🤣🤣🤣

I can understand maybe getting a promotion out by a year or two but to get it wrong by 9 years does take some doing 😗😗

Pro football is very much a closed shop and whilst I think BG was probably a Wael appointment because he was wowed with the promise of possession attacking football, the fact is you'll get your arse kicked ala Ipswich, Donny, Hull and Fleetwood if you've got nothing else to bring to the table. Having learned his lesson Wael was happy to let Starmes take the lead. Hopefully Tisdale will bring a mix of GC pragmatism and BG philosophy. We shall see.

He was clasping his hands a lot, so I googled clasping hands body language meaning.. Clasping hands, squeezing hands together is a self-pacifying gesture. A person who does this is uncomfortable, maybe even nervous or fearful. ... Clasped hands with interwoven fingers indicate great anxiety and frustration. That person is thinking, “Things are going really bad”. Hopefully the above is a load of sh**e, are there any body language experts on here?!

Welcome Paul. After Starnes' interview the other day I said it looks like it will be Tisdale, time will tell if it's a good appointment.
Get points on the board and that'll keep most of us happy. In and around the playoffs next season and promotion within 3-4 years is the dream for me, no pressure!

Maybe he should be gaffer after reading about all of the footballers he's taught, he must be good at developing kids.

Didn’t feel me with much confidence that interview to be honest and I think he might be another Rovers manager that I don’t really watch his pre or post match interviews because I find him irritating, same as Coughlan. I guess you don’t have to like someone to appreciate they’re doing a good job and as long as tisdale does a good job that will do for me.

There's part of me that thinks Tisdale is the perfect fit and there's another part that just finds the man odd and doesn't seem over popular at other clubs. I'm intrigued how things are going to pan out. If it doesn't work for him with us then he will find it hard to get a job elsewhere, as everything seems set up for his profile here.

Good interview from the new gaffer.
I have to say it's really hard not to take to him. I know he comes across as a "softy" like Ben, but there is a real charisma about him.
Actually feeling cautiously optomistic he could be the perfect appointment.
All the best Tis!
UTG!!
