Well that was awful, the only real positive for me is we havent conceded. Lost count of the number of times we've given the ball away under no pressure.
Swindon are a poor side, I hope Tisdale is brave enough to change things at half time, personally I'd either take Harries off and switch to 4231 or replace McCormick with Walker (as the closest we have on bench to a striker) and move Nicholson back where he can be more effective. I'd also get Westbrooke on for Upson or Grant.

Otzumer must be wondering how he doesn’t get in this team. Looking forward to Ehmer, Harries and Kilgour launching balls over the little Turk’s head in the last 20 minutes of the game already. Without wanting to unduly worry, the MK dons fan said that Tisdale would go route one when he had 5’8 Agard up front |

Kilgour hasn't been the same player this season, since Big Tone left.
We need more creative spark in midfield, and I wouldn't be surprised to see both Westbrooke and Oztumer coming on at some point in the second half. Tisdale does have a reputation for leaving it too late though.

Have we got as good a squad as we thought we had assembled?
I think it proves that a clip of ‘best parts’ on You Tube, really tells nothing other than there is some ability in there somewhere. It doesn’t show character, or how they can adapt to different situations. Looks a very poor bunch to me. I’m beginning to wonder how much Imput Tommy W & his posee of scouts has actually had.
Nicholson a positive though. Lots of work for Tisdale, not just on the pitch I feel.

But when we line up its 5 at the back anyway so they're still being wasted. The 3 at the back looks awkward and it means we're short of a player in midfield or up front. Well they do usually sit in front of the back 3, but here we actually look a flat back 5 with Tutonda & Hare rarely, if ever, coming out of our half. The front 3 are at least trying to do something but honestly Grant and Upson are just wasting space. Doesn't then help that each CB just launches if straight to Swindon every time. Very poor. Definitely been very poor. |

Defensively solid enough according to Ed Hadwin? Not that I could see. We looked very shaky, and a better team would have punished us. It's been a good job Swindon have been as bad going forward as we have.

Trying to work out why when their player was injured in their box, all the players ran over to get drinks, Tisdale f**ked off up the tunnel and ignored them all.

It's nice to see that Tisdale is vocal and active on the touchline. Garner seemed very passive on the touchline by comparison.

I certainly think it was premature for Widdrington to say that the recruitment has been better season after season since we got to league one. Given our results and he was the man who brought the players in if I was him I’d be hedging my bets before putting my faith in the players. Like you say as individuals they may be pretty on the eye with good technique but are they strong characters as a team when things are bloody awful? |
