Surprised Koiki and Oztumer not starting ... Not sure how the ball will get to the strikers other than a huge hopeful punt! Hope I’m wrong but under whelmed with that as a starting set up .. Really don’t rate Upson. ( Watch him score now ) Neither played on Wednesday. Basically everyone that is fit, is starting again,apart from the keeper. |

He’s gone for a tougher midfield 3 there in a similar way to Coughlan used too. To be fair Liverpool tend to have mostly tough ball winners in midfield and rely on marauding fullbacks and the forwards for the flair. You have to win the 50/50s and earn the right to play. Something Garner didn’t seem to understand. Fair comments we did look too easy to play through under Garner. It does leave us looking a bit short of creativity though, hopefully as we move on if we persist with two holding midfielders we might see a shift to 4 at the back and an extra attacking option in the side. |

Very pleased to see Upson starting again. Thought he would start to be fair, as we needed that extra quality and experience in midfield. He played really well Wednesday and was a big part of that fluid attacking football we saw. Up the Gas!! Upson is awful. Has about 5 good games per year the rest of the time he’s not even average. Offers nothing. But hopefully he’ll have one of his good games today. |

Not feeling overly confident in the midfield at all.
It'll be interesting what difference, if any, will be made in such a short amount of time. Mind you, Garner had 2 days before Wimbledon and it was already completely different.

I think its a decent set up.
We've just been battered 4-1 at home in our last league game, and looked incredibly shaky at the back against Chelsea's 10 kids and Danny Drinkwater.
A bit of solidity and keep it tight.
I'd take a scrappy 1-0 win today.
