watching on iFollow, what do the coaches and managers see in Grant?? He must be phenomenal in training because he hasn't been good enough on the pitch. First BG wouldn't drop him and now PT seems convinced on the player. He just seems sloppy in possession most of the time. Bring on Westbrooke. Been saying that since pre season!! |

Must better performance and game than Saturday. If we could pick the final pass. Much better or not much better, this is the sort of game that we must win if we want to stay in this league. I'll go with better, I know that's not saying much due to Saturday being so bloody awful. I wish we had big Devon white on against their centre back tonight. |

Defence looks so much better as a 4. Much better balance to the team. We don't look so short in midfield compared to the rest of this season. Wigan there for the taking.

We’re playing well, Oztumer has been lively. Putting together some nice moves and the formation suits us a lot more than 5-3-2 IMO. If Nicholson had tucked away his chance, we would look comfortable. Having said that we do look a bit toothless up front, which I suppose is understandable with no striker. Wigan look poor and allow us a lot of possession and territory for us to use the ball. Only concern is them grabbing a goal on the counter. Definitely much more comfortable in this formation. |

This game is there for the taking. We've spent a considerable amount of time deep in their box. I fancy our chances in the second half.
That said we have been sloppy at times. Hare having a poor game. Mack McCormick a mixed bag - moments of brilliance mixed with sloppy sloppy play. As others have said not sure what Grant brings to the table I'd have Abs back in a heartbeat.

No natural striker, two holding midfielders, a back 5, two left wingbacks and Westbrooke left on the bench yet again for Upson. Don’t like the look of that lineup at all. I just looked at that and made 4231 out of it. Hopefully Tisdale has too. Nicholson up front with otzumer koki and Mc cormack attacking mids with grant and Upson holding. At last the 4231 I’ve been saying all season that suits our best players. The problem tonight is no hanlan no Tutonda and so far not Westbrooke either. Sod’s law. But at least we’ve got 2 wide players on each side rather than only one each side and that means we’ve got more options when we’re attacking. Not great so far but not awful considering we’re playing Nicholson as a lone striker. Westbrooke on for either Upson or Grant and we can win this. UTG |

We lost to a dire Swindon side on Saturday and Wigan appear worse....
I just despair with it all ... Must win tonight surely.
Westbrooke absolutely should be on the pitch ... FFS Get Upson or Grant off the pitch.
Hare trying to be too clever with fancy passing - needs to get back to basics and find his man.

Yep, I like Hare but he's having a shocker. Likewise I've rated him until the last 4 or 5 games but he seems to get progressively worse match by match. Unless we can make some sort of change Wigan will exploit this weakness. |

Havent seem anything in either Hare or Grant but performance pretty good. Referee seems very lenient. We should be leading by one or two but knowing us will probably pay for those misses.

We've looked so much better with this formation and really should be in front. Agree with other posters I'd definitely bring on Westbrooke for one of the holding midfielders this game is there for the taking

I want to see this formation with hanlan up front otzumer behind, Nicholson right and Tutonda left. That’s a quality four attacking players for this division. Go with that , bring in a replacement for Ogogo to play as a deep holding midfielder alongside Westbrooke and that’s a good starting midfield and attack. Hopefully Hanlan and Daley not out for long because if they are we’re f**ked. |
