Well done Jester, I hope you are right.
Unfortunately my head says they will be too organised and strong for our boys, like Gills were.
I hope I'm wrong and we can score a couple if/when things are going well to keep the confidence up. As soon as Gills scored midweek our spirit went, this being after we had had a good spell but couldn't make it count.
Heart says 2-1 Gas, head says 2-0 Wombles, sadly.

As long as we don’t start with Ehmer/Baldwin and Grant/Upson we might do ok. That protective back line is so slow and out of form I’d be tempted to make a change in the middle and consider Hargreaves and maybe Liddle. Bit of spark and they can’t do any worse?

An optimistic 1-1 Prediction. 😏 I think Tisdale will try and make us hard to beat first and foremost so not expecting a great game but it's results that matter.

While I agree to an extent, we must at some point start to impose ourselves. We will go down if we continue losing to teams I expect to be in the bottom third of the table. Our recent form is relegation. Tis somehow has to make his players believe they are good enough to take the game to the opposition. Starting with Grant and Upson puts us on the back foot immediately. Hope I’m wrong and we battle our hearts out to a 1-0 win |

I have a good feeling about today’s result. It was Dec 2019, when overnight we turned from being an ugly but effective bunch on the field, to a weak lot of pretty boys, losing 1-2 at home against a lowly Wimbledon.
Today the roles are reversed, we have a chance to put the last 12 months behind us, get in their faces, compete for every ball. 90+ minutes of non stop aggression, shoot on sight.

I can only see a defeat unfortunately. We're far too weak at the back, and toothless up front. Not a good combination. Wimbledon are a decent side this year. I predict a 2-0 defeat. Obviously I really really hope I'm wrong and the Gas pull off a win!

I read on the other thread they play 5 at the back. would be nice to see some width today, try and get in behind the wingbacks (like what happens to us to often)
