Can’t contribute this week as I was having a socially distanced conversation outside my house with a mate I hadn’t seen since before the first lockdown! However, it is clear from the extended highlights I just watched that several players were on top form and deserved the higher ratings that are a feature of this thread. Well done to Tis and the boys.

Everything has been said, but this: When was the last time we made no subs? I also wondered about this and from looking at my Player Rating spreadsheet the only time it has happened in the last six and a bit seasons was in the Conference away to Grimsby. www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/31423683

Results in and Sam Nicholson was Man of the Match for the fourth time this season, with a score of 8.86 Only three players have scored as many or more MotMs in their first 13 league games than Nicholson. Trotman (6), Bonham (8) and Clarke-Harris (9) are the players. It is even more impressive for Nicholson when you consider that 6 of those 13 have been substitute appearances. Nicholson's score of 8.86 was the highest of any player since Tony Craig (8.94) at home to Peterborough last season (this was the game where Kevin Maher was in interim charge) The starting XI average was 7.71. this is the seventh highest ever in these threads (314 league and cup games). The only higher rated games are: Game | XI average Rating | Bolton A 16/17 | 8.50 | Northampton A 17/18 | 8.13 | Dagenham H 15/16 | 8.01 | Southend H 17/18 | 7.87 | Oxford A 16/17 | 7.73 | Forest Green H (P/O) 14/15 | 7.73 | Wimbledon A 20/21 | 7.71 |
Zain Westbrooke had the lowest mark of any player, but still got a good score of 6.75. Only twice has the lowest scoring player got a higher mark. Tom Nichols (7.0) v Northampton and Christian Montano (7.3) v Dagenham in the games in the above table Jaakkola 7.4 Ehmer 7.9 Kilgour 6.8 Baldwin 7.0 Leahy 7.7 Grant 7.1 Upson 8.4 Westbrooke 6.8 Oztumer 8.5 Nicholson 8.9
Hanlan 8.5 Ref 5.5 Wimbledon 4.2
