It is a shame than anyone has to lose their job over this that have contributed nothing to the poor football that saw us crash and burn. My heart goes out to them.

One of the saddest things I saw was in the bar just after the final whistle. Sophie had been taking photos and I had left the game with just the final added time. The look on the faces of some of the long serving steward was just awful. I wish every single player, board member and all could have witnessed that. We have some absolutely brilliant and long serving stewards but many forget that they are also fans. We got to know them very well over the season and many of their back stories. They were let down so badly and are now paying with their jobs. That they still got up to protect those very same people was a testament to them. I'd like to think that we would re-employ them if and when we are back as a FL club.
The looks on their faces and the deafening g silence of the supporters coming into the bar said it all. I have been to a lot of funerals in the past few years, this somehow felt worse.

Last week. Trish Elvy(Conference Bookings etc) and Steve Burns who has worked there on and off for years,not sure what he actually did though.

Anyone can be made redundant. Watch this space Yes and no...it's illegal to make someone redundant and then hire someone else (or them again) to do the same job 3-6 months later...I feel sorry for those who have lost their jobs and any others who might... |

An unfortunate reality that comes with relegation and less income. A lot of the people who work at Rovers do it for the love of the club so it is sad to see them go.
