Mildenhall 5 not a lot to do Lockyer 7 Defended well, passing still needs improving Parkes 7 Good solid defending McCrystal 8 His best game for ages Brown 7 defended and got forward well Della Verde 7 carried on where he left off saturday Mansell 7 good midfield player and much more involved when we pass it more Sinclair 7.5 tireless again, wins headers he should never win Monkhouse 7 great pass for the first goal and looking a bit more mobile Blisset 6 good effort and i feel a lot more to come Taylor 7.5 very good first half,i didn't realise he scored either, thought it was Verde
Subs Balanta 7 Got the winner and looked to have a bit of class about him Harrison 4 not much effect Goldberg can't really judge again
DC 7 Got it spot on with our start, and the subs
Ref 5 some odd moments, but better than some we have had

Mildenhall 6 Unlucky with the deflected goal apart from that had little to do
Lockyer 7.5 some lion heart defending throughout McChrystal 7.5 Made Akinde look very ordinary Parkes 7 Good solid defensive display Brown 7 usual steady game.
Della Verde 7.5 Flashes of brilliance, especially first half. Mansell 7 Competent display. Sinclair 8 Never stopped running and battling for the cause. Monkhouse 6.5 Good first half but faded after the break.
Taylor 8.5 Superb MOM Blissett 7 Battled hard and won plenty in the air
Subs: Balanta 7 showed some nice touches and got the winner. Harrison 5 Needed the ball to his feet more. Goldberg Not on long enough to mark.
DC 8 Got his tactics right and made some great substitutions at crucial times. Ref 3 Another poor official ,how many more of them are out there ?. Barnet 6 Not the worst side i have seen this season, but certainly nothing special.

Mildenhall 6 Unlucky with deflection
Locker 6.5 Good game, McCrystal 7 Played well Parks 7 Very solid, getting more consistent Brown 7 Usual steady game
Fella Verde 6 Good game, service dried up a bit in 2 half Mansell 7.5 Very good and competent game Sinclair 8 Wins balls he has no business winning Monkhouse 6 Getting better
Taylor 7.5 Beginning to shut a lot of people up Blissett 6 Potentially more to come
Subs Balanta 6 Looks to have potential, needs more game time Harrison 4.5 Needs better service, not very effective Goldberg Not on long enough
DC 8 Might have shut a few moaners up tonight Ref 5 Few puzzling decisions
Barnet 6 Thought they would be better, for their position in division

Mildenhall - 6 - Unlucky with the goal but looked comfortable with the little he had to deal with and claimed crosses well. Still can be a little slow on his distribution at times for me though.
Lockyer - 6- Another typical Lockyer performance for me. Very solid in defence but poor distribution for most of the game. McChrystal - 8 - Saved us with a couple of last ditch tackles and looked generally comfortable all game against a handful of a striker in Akinde. Parkes - 7 - He had a couple of moments where he was bailed out by McChrystal but I think that was down to the surface more than anything. Looked good though. Brown - 7 - Supported the attack well, especially in the first half, and put in some great crosses. Solid in defence too.
Della Verde - 7 - Some great skills and play meaning Barnet had to use a sub to replace their left back. Put good crosses in but I just felt he sometimes overdid it a little bit. Mansell - 6 - Can't remember him doing either much right or wrong so a solid if unspectacular performance. Sinclair - 8 - He just runs and runs this bloke. Battled very well in midfield and had his usual never give up on any ball attitude. Monkhouse - 7 - Probably his best performance for us that I personally have seen. Fantastic ball for the first goal and got back well. Lacks pace and conviction to be a proper winger though.
Taylor - 8 - Took his goal very well and his pace caused the big Barnet defence a lot of problems, especially in the first half. Blissett - 7 - He won more than his fair share up front and battled well. Seems to bring out the best of Taylor as well. Unlucky with a couple of efforts but he is looking like a good signing.
Balanta - 6 - Some good touches and popped up with the all important winner but I must admit, I forgot he was on the pitch at times. Harrison - 5 - Struggled with the type of ball that was being played up to him but he seemed a lot less effective than the strikers we started with. Goldberg - 6 - Not really enough time to judge him but he made some good intelligent runs and seemed to have decent strength for such a small guy.
DC - 7 - I didn't agree with some of the players starting and the subs but it worked and he proved me wrong. Set up a team that was hard to beat but still looked good in the attacking third. Ref - 6 - Some decisions that I found odd but generally wasn't too bad. The linesman on the other hand... Barnet - 5 - Disappointed me to be honest. I expected much more from the league leaders but they looked very ordinary going forward and weak at the back. Kept possession well at times though.

Mildenhall 5 Distribution a worry but otherwise solid. No chance for the goal.
Lockyer 5 Good solid defending but has the distribution of a postal strike. McChrystal 8 MOM had Akinde in his pocket. Parkes 7 Parkesy getting some consistency in his game. Brown 6 Usuall Lee brown performance solid.
Della Verde 7 what we have been missing, pace, skill and trickery. Mansell 6 Battling performance. Sinclair 7 The bloke is more mobile than zebade on speed Monkhouse 6 Great assist for Taylors goal.
Taylor 7 Great goal and all round game. Blissett 6 Put himself about. A good nuisance up top.
Subs: Balanta 7 Looks class can't wait to see him play more. Harrison 6 did ok Goldberg 5 not on long enough
DC 7 Got his tactics and subs spot on. Ref 6 Not the worse we have seen Barnet 4 if you attack them they are vulnerable, sit back they will eat you up.

Mildehall 6 couldnt be faulted wit Barnets goal as the deflection took the ball out of reach Lockyer 6.5 a good steady game Brown 7 very capable performance McChrystal 7.5 the best game he played for a long time, maybe seeing Trotman on the bench kept him on his toes! Parkes 8 Tom is back playing like the player we hoped he'd be when he first signed for us. LDV 7 what a brilliant prospect. Clarke must try and extend his loan,he makes so much difference Mansell 7.5 a true leader, fought for everything Sinclair M.O.M 9 Frankie Prince,Jackie Pitt, Ian Holloway, every team needs a player who just gives it everything, god how I wish we'd had him last season! Monkhouse 7 Probably his best game yet,he has a bit of quality and what a sublime pass to set the first goal up! Blisset 6 work in progress,Barnet obviously thought he was the main dangber and regularly had two men on him. He's more mobile than Brunt and more intelligent than Harrison,I think him and Taylor could work well together. Taylor 8.5 all-round game bar scoring was never in doubt, now he's started scoring he could really become a forse. Subs: Harrison 6. I'm not his biggest fan and I think the bench is as far as his prospects reach. Balanta 6 showed he has class, more to come I think. Goldberg Not on long enough. Ref 5 bog=standard Conference ref' Clarke 7 got it right, again. Barnet 7 A big strong typical Mad Dog side, good but not invincable

Mildenhall - 6 (Not much to do, but dealt with crosses and the like fairly comfortably. Poor distribution at times)
Lockyer - 7 (Solid in defence as always, but doesn't offer much going the other way. Tried his best to overlap though) McChrystal - 8 (Back to the old Mark McChrystal who first joined the club. Dealt with Akinde brilliantly) Parkes - 7 (Another player who is looking back to his best, and also is top shape. Defended well and comfortable on the ball too) Brown - 7 (Could have done a bit better in a few attacking situations when he looked like he was in, but defended well)
Della Verde - 7 (faded second half, or would have been an 8) Mansell - 7 (Quiet but effective performance) Sinclair - 7.5 (Was absolutely everywhere and broke up play excellently in midfield) Monkhouse - 6.5 (Great ball through to Taylor for the goal and his height is very useful against the fullback)
Taylor - 8 (Was a thorn in their side all night. Constantly looking to get in behind their defence. Took his goal well but should have made it 2-0 shortly after. Well worth his place in the side though) Blissett - 6 (Him and Taylor look a very useful combination upfront. Nice to have a big man in attack who also has pace to burn. Fairly quiet game but takes attention away from Taylor)
Subs: Balanta - 6 (Looked rusty but has that touch of class, and of course scored the winner with a fine header! Although he missed a sitter just before) Harrison - 5 (Didn't get involved in the play much but didn't receive the best service when he was on) Goldberg - N/A (Not on long enough to rate)
DC - 8 (Clearly set the team out to get into Barnet from the first minute, which worked a treat. Couldn't disagree with starting XI or subs) Ref - 3 (Meh) Barnet - 6 (Big, strong, physical, comfortable on the ball. Didn't look too special to me though)

Mildenhall 6 quiet night Lockyer 7 untroubled in defence and one of his better forward contributions especially late corners. Distribution still needs work but tireless display Parkes 8 Barnet carry a threat but TP nullified them and marauded himself McChrystal 8 best display this season Brown 7.5 kept Barnets right side on the defensive by bombing forward at every opportunity. Solid when called on to defend Mansell 8 we bossed the midfield and he was a big part of it Sinclair 9 what an engine, excellent tackling 90 mins of inspiration and perspiration Monkhouse 7 thought Chester was his best display in a Rovers shirt but this showing was not far behind. His experience told in linking up our wing play. Sublime pass for Taylor's goal Della Verde 7 continues to deliver promising displays, frightens defenders - quite rightly! Taylor 7.5 getting to look like the player we hoped he'd be. Confidence must be on the up Blissett 7 great overhead kick, selflessly put himself about creating spaces for the runners and knocking on plenty of headers
Balanta 7 Barnet might have thought the pressure would ease with a sub coming on for his debut, no such luck as the terrorising continued Harrison 5 someone had to misfire, at least, he got it out of the way in a game where everyone else was on song Goldberg just a cameo from him but did himself no harm by ensuring he got into the game
Ref & officials 2 tried but failed to ruin a good game DC 8 got the tactics, motivation and substitutions correct Crowd 8 Barnet 6.5 plenty of glimpses of their talent at holding on to the ball. Rovers just mullered them

I tell you my fellow gas heads I'm LOVING reading these ratings. I'm Thinking of coming back to catch a FEW games 'cos it sounds like this group is really playing for the quarters and its been a while. UTG!

So final ratings have been calculated and it was a close run contest for Man of the Match. Stuart Sinclair just gets it ahead of McChrystal and Taylor.
From the average scores of the starting XI, this was the team's 3rd best performance of the season (after Lincoln and Eastleigh) and the best at the Mem.
Last time we played Barnet, Taylor got MotM with a 6.0. On Tuesday, every outfield player got a higher score than that. In fact, the average score was 50% better than the away game.
Also worth mentioning is Tom Parkes whose gone on a great run of form lifting his season average from 5.74 to 6.09 since Forest Green.
Mildenhall 5.8
Lockyer 6.6 McChrystal 7.8 Parkes 7.4 Brown 7.0
Della Verde 7.2 Mansell 7.0 Sinclair 7.9 MotM Monkhouse 6.8
Taylor 7.8 Blissett 6.5
Subs: Balanta 6.5 Harrison 5.0 Goldberg 5.5
DC 7.7 Ref 4.1 Barnet 5.9
