Pleased to be leading at HT but not delighted with our play, thought we’d play better if I’m honest as we look a different team to the one playing Wimbledon or Plymouth.
Can’t complain about the scoreline though, but lots of room for improvement still

After a miserable 1st 20 mins, this is quite a good watch Yeah, trying to think of the last first half at the Mem that was that entertaining. It's been pretty bleak for quite a while.

All our strengths and weaknesses on show today. No doubt we’ve got some good attacking minded players in this squad but defensively dear oh dear an absolutely disorganised disorientated mess. Great that we’re winning 2-1 we could be about 2-5 down I reckon we’ll need 3 to win this perhaps four but that’s possible with the attacking players we have. UTG

We got outplayed for 35min had a 3min purple patch followed by 5 more minutes of being outplayed. You missed the first 5 minutes which was all Rovers Distant memory now! In fairness for all the good play from Blackpool I think they had 1 on target. You can see why they have scored an average of a goal a game. I feel that our balance is wrong between the more physical aspects of the game and the attacking qualities of Oz & Nicholson.

Just because the opposition is playing well doesn't necessarily mean we are playing badly.
I agree with others who have said we look vulnerable out wide. But you give that space up playing Westbrooke and Oztumer wide.
We're better than we were MK Dons but I still like a bit more sharpness in the passing second half. And some stronger tscks in the middle of the pitch.

Very scrappy game that Blackpool have mostly controlled, having the majority of possession and creating the better chances. That said, football is about putting the ball in the net and we’ve been more clinical, two well worked and executed goals.
I do think we’re going to have to tighten up defensively if we want to retain this lead during the second half, too many incidents of crosses not being dealt with, Blackpool players being unmarked in the box and allowing them to have free shots. Especially out wide, our full backs aren’t coping with their wide players.
Hopefully taking a lead into the half time break will be a big confidence boost, a win today would be massive.

Great insight and future prediction skills.. Happy to be wrong ! Not happy with our general play and set-up though. Think we are skating on thin ice. As someone said, they have too much room wide, plus they have far too much time on the ball in and around our box. Let's hope for better and a really convincing win in 2nd half. UTG.

I'll take a sh** match if it gets us out of the bottom 4. After the start to the season we had we need a bit of a siege mentality.

Their wide players have the freedom of tge pitch every time they go forward. 19 crosses in the 1st half for Blackpool. Only 3 shots on target in the whole half for both sides.

It's worth remembering that in reality we're probably a mid table side. We're not going to be blitzing every match and matches like these are going to be a bit of a battle. Games like MK Dons are always banana skins.
Hopefully by the end of the month PT will have done what he needs to, to shore us up and get us fighting at the top end of the table instead where we'll look a bit more comfortable in games such as these.

UTG If our defence was as bad as you say, we would actually be 2-5 down surely? No becauuse their finishing and sometimes final ball has been poor. We didn’t defend that well in our big win v Plymouth either , they had more shots on goal than us but JVS played a blinder and we won 3-0 We won’t pull away comfortably from the bottom four until Tisdale sorts out his defence mark my words.

Problem is we're playing like it's a preseason friendly not a fight to the death. Hopefully PT wakes them up at half time, I've no idea how we've gone in 2-1 up, although aren't we Blackpool's bogey side?

End to end. Pool look sharper and playing it wide both sides. We are playing the traditional long ball. Hanlan must try and stay onside. I thought it was close offside when he scored. Pool could get feisty 2nd half if losing? Westbrook needs to control and pass after 2nd touch not 1st? We are giving them a lot of room in front of the box. He also needs to try and impose himself in the midfield. Need someone else on the right, Little? to stop them coming through there?
Ref very lenient; should have booked their left winger for 2 bad tackles plus their forward. Maybe one of ours.
Must not concede in first 15 minutes again!

Probably fortunate to be in front but we do have quality in forward areas which always gives us a chance. Blackpool have been very good in possession but the goal and 1 ball that flashed across the 6 yard box apart havent created many clear cut chances. Wouldnt be at all surprised if there are more goals in this, they dont look that secure at the back either.
