So they work out how to profiteer from screwing over voter x. Then they package it up and sell the idea to voter x by praying on their prejudices. Voter x not only votes for it but laps it up, waving the flag for it even, arguing for it, fighting for it and then they use it to f**k voter x as per original plan. I dont know about you but I find that hilarious.

Nothing to do with Brexit guv ….. 👇🙄 This is one of the frustrating things about the impact of the pandemic. It disguises the impact of Brexit, bad and good. Things do squeeze through, the farce in NI, the labour shortages, the impact on fishing, the potential impact on agriculture. Not to mention the debt we owe to the EU which, if as reported, is equivalent to circa 5 years of our previous net contributions. Or about 30% of the annual NHS budget. And, once again, I ask for what? Other than puerile flag waving.

Morning Les Analysts in years to come will have an impossible task in separating the impact of Brexit /Pandemic as they are intertwined, getting to the underlying drivers of growth or lack of it will be almost impossible, perhaps we have to baseline from the end of 2019 and then compare with other G7 Countries as we continue to recover from the economic impact of Covid. Ps. There's a lot of flag waving atm however zero in North Wales in fact England in the final doesn’t even make the News! !

In terms of benchmarking, thats what we are doing, (Oxfam that is), benchmarking against 2019. The next challenge for us is the relaxation of covid rules. How do we, in an environment where there could well be 50,000 cases Its a day, ask our volunteers, the vast majority of whom are retired, to work in a non socially distanced and zero face mask retail unit? Its Russian Roulette.

The tail on this is long and I believe it will drive significant behavioural change, there is no chance we will go back to normal after 18 months and my guess is many folk will do their own mental risk assessment and decide what's right for them.

We have a shortage of HGV drivers because of Brexit? How come, because of immigration, or something else?

I don't think it's anothing to do with Brexit,Covid has caused a massive backlog in HGV tests,if Brexit has kept those mad continental drivers of our roads then that's a good thing,on the motorways theye are a bloody nightmare.

That would make sense on HGV tests, I hear (from my brother) that its a 6 month (roughly) wait for his driving test. However, that doesn't account for such a shortage? But I agree on driving standards - would be keen to hear francegas ' opinion on driving in Europe. For a bit of fun, the ratings that I've seen driving across Europe: - Hungarians 1/10 - Romanians 3/10 - Slovaks 4/10 - Austrians (outside of Austria, in Austria they're great) 4/10 - Croatians 8/10 - Swiss 8/10 - Polish - 7/10 - Germans - 8/10 - Serbs - 4/10
