What did Hanlan actually do as i thought both our strikers had poor games, if we'd had JCH, or similar, upfront we could have well won today. The fact we've signed Day gives me hope we'll also sign a decent powerful striker. Day New RB Kilgour Ehmer Leahy or new LB(our 5th!) Grant/Ogogo Westbrooke McCormick Oztumer/Nicholson Hanlon New CF Looks a string L1 team to me, although not sure Ozt is that good if he's on decent L1 money. We've still got a load of youngsters who are not really up to L1 football who surely would be better out on loan? Not sure Ogogo will be coming back as they have just made him captain and offloaded 2 loanees in order to give him a good contract. Thinking about it, I'd be happy for him to stay at the Daggers, keep the armband. They obviously see something in him that BG didn't, and I'm sure it would be a great confidence boost to be back on the pitch, especially picking up the armband. I think the blokes been put through a lot here, but not being register and cast out. Deserves to see out his career doing what he loves in company that appreciates him tbh.

Just watching Ipswich v Swindon on Sky Swindon just gone 3-1 up in the 75 minute. Great goal from the lad Scott Twine who has just returned from a successful loan at Newport.

Leahy passes straight to an opposition player for 2nd match in a row. However the officials did nothing when he was being constantly fouled when he made the wayward pass.

Did anyone else watch the same game as you because I certainly didn't. Kilgour was excellent today. A, 2 or 3 million transfer move in offing after that game from Alfie. What’s it all about tbone. A month or so ago I wrote Kilgour wasn't good enough. On todays showing he's worth at least £2m! Think today he was particularly exceptional but without doubt, I was wrong. Delicious humble pie for me. Also, what a f**king debut from Day! My word. Re. Barrett, you have to assume its a medical issue? ? If not its a disgrace. As a professional footballer, unless there's a medical reason his weight is a disgrace. Overall utterly brilliant performance. At the end of the day Sheff. Utd are a premiership team and we gave them one hell of a game. An utterly superb advert for the quality of L1 football - kept it on the deck and played some very slick passing at times. Well done Rovers - superb performance.

Really enjoyed that game.
Thought we more than held our own for large periods & some of the incisive passing play from us was superb at times.
Very promising signs since Tisdale came in the door, IMO.

I don’t think Barrett can be judged until he’s made at least several 90 minute appearances regardless of perceived fitness issues. Shame about sloppy mistakes giving the ball away in defence but we look in good form at the moment. Let’s hope we can keep it going in the league and push for play-offs come the run in! UTG Play offs?!!!! I’m usually optimistic but I’m looking at the bottom 4 teams and hoping we stay above them. Sign a big experienced striker and a right back and we should have enough for mid table, and then we need to hope our assets aren’t being looked at this Jan transfer Losing Kilgour/Nicholson/Hanlan would leave us with a very ordinary looking squad! UTG Once we can (hopefully) pull away from the bottom 4 then the play offs are the next target. I can't see PT impressing the players by saying "right lads let's go out and make a mid table position ours"!!! I'd we did lose any of our better players hopefully PT can bring in decent replacements, which is the model Wael's apparently trying to create.

It's a big tidy from looking tiby to bossing L1! If somebody doesn't tell Barrett he's ruining any chance of a career by being overweight then that's just what he's going to, he's hardly a 18 year kid just starting out in pro football. If I was given a fresh start by a new manager I'd make damn sure I was 100% fit as I my not get another chance, not sure how he can be fitter than when he joined us when he looks even fatter. It's not as simple as just saying lose weight though. Firstly doing this properly takes time, he's supposed to be an athlete and simply fasting isn't the way to do it as he'd lose all muscle mass he has. Exercise too much and he's then tired and he could end up injuring himself or damaging the muscles which are right for playing football vs going on a bloody long run. Secondly there's the mental health situation - if everyone is getting on his case regards his weight, and he's concerned about his ability to turn it around, he could end up comfort eating or stressing out about it. I don't want to speculate on Barrett as a person himself but this is certainly something that someone in his circumstances could have to battle with. It needs good man management - which is telling him the right things to get his head where it needs to be (which is different person to person) and not simply sticking him with the under 18s and ostracising him. Wise words, let's hope Tis can address any issues and get the best out of him.

The one they play after we lose You're on your own there. Tote End Boys - Ben Gunson. Absolute anthem in my opinion. They don't just play it when we lose, they play it after every game but when we win they play Glad All Over - Dave Clark Five first.

It’s a very good song but it’s just psychological, Glad All Over is fast, upbeat and pumped out of the tannoy every time you have that good feeling from just watching the Gas win. Tote End Boys is slower and is the first thing you hear after Rovers have lost or drawn at home. Honestly can’t stand listening to Tote End boys because of the negative experiences associated of it from Rovers, of which there are many.

He's also the longest serving member of our squad by far and would of seen the likes of Bodin Ellis Taylor Jch Easter and several managers. He's one of our own and needs all the support he deserves .. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/2015%E2%80%9316_Bristol_Rovers_F.C._season

Yeah when we win I’m usually out of the ground by the end of that song and to happy to notice much else, I’m being harsh on the song I guess, I’ve just associated it to when we lose as it’s the first song played then... first time I heard it I did enjoy it.. it’s just been tainted I think
