Agree.Upson doesn't get very involved at all,hasn't scored all season and doesn't tackle and is just peripheral. I disagree..... I actually think Upson is underrated. He’s not spectacular but he holds the ball, plays it simple and calms us down.... he also breaks play up fairly well and has a great long shot on him.... there’s a few players that seem to get the ‘treatment’ on this forum - Leahy (who I also think is a good League 1 footballer and our best left back in a flat back 4), Upson ( because he’s not your skilful ball playing beat the man twice over blood and thunder midfielder) and Baldwin (who I think is a very good centre back who wins most headers and tackles and clearances and can also play a bit)..... might be just me but I find some overly harsh criticism and massive underrating of these 3 Those are the sorts of players that their team mates would be very positive about, they do the unseen work that lets some of the others get on with the more creative stuff. I just wish sometimes Leahy would put it in row Z rather than getting caught out trying to play this one touch football that everyone gets all excited about. |

Two times now we’ve allowed the ball to end up with the striker in our penalty area unmarked. Too much ball watching and delegating responsibility to someone else.
