And who would you suggest we bring in up front? Walker. Nothing like a bit of youthful exhuberance when youre in a fight and away from home. Cant be any worse than Ayunga or the Barrell. Totally agree ...

I haven’t missed a game on I follow all season and I’ve bought my pass for today but I must admit I did find myself thinking maybe not bother today which is a shame. It just feels like we’ve got a squad of individuals that are fairly talented but no team. Perhaps it’s because I’m haven’t seen them play live but that’s the way it is.
Hopefully a roll yer sleeves up type performance and 3 points will prove me otherwise, having Ogogo in midfield should give us some experience and some fight.

I must admit I am a bit concerned about the defensive lineup and the absence of Nicholson and Ozzy.
However, it’s the same lineup that was effective in the second half at Crewe, Ogogo in for Upson is a good tweak by Tisdale IMO and it’s a ground we traditionally do well at.
Come on you blues.

Did Daly break his ankle a couple of months ago? Seem to hear nothing about him, it seems like as soon as you hit that medical room you never get out, suggest when they build the new one at the quarters they call it Hotel California, you can check in but never leave!!! Our Medical Room is in fact the same set up as Hostel . Incredible that four of our best players are STILL nowhere to be seen ... hope they are up for a relegation scrap if they do ever return.

Didn’t Barrett come on for Upson fairly early and we changed to a more attacking formation second half v Crewe ?

Is Ozzy injured or suffering post-covid problems? This virus is a lottery in how it affects you. Manager said it was post covid. Came back for the one game but now showing some fatigue from the covid. I don't think Oztumer has played since the transfer window opened. That seems a bit fishy to me. Maybe Charlton don't want to risk him getting injured.

That's harsh on Barrett who's hardly been given a chance, I doubt any of us have a clue what he's really capable of.

It feels like we’ve always struggled with excess injuries even before covid. Do you think we get more than other teams? You definitely can prevent some injuries with a good medical team and data analysis. Appreciate covid means everyone is in the same boat with a high number of fixtures this season but would be interesting to know for other seasons. That because we tend to sign sicknotes from higher divisions who would be good footballers apart from that they cant manage a minimum of 30 games a season. Virgo did say on Gascast that the medical team had been giving him the wrong advice for months which he found out when moving on and that the old facilities weren’t up to scratch. All the more reason why investments behind the scenes from Wael such as the training ground will be fundamental to any future success!

Glad to see that everyone is writing us off and moaning about the team as per usual before the game has even started or looked at why it’s been chosen.
We had the same formation on Tues at Crewe and we played fairly well, just lacked a cutting edge and it was mistakes that caused 2 of the goals and the first one was just really smart play....
Who would be brought in instead? Oxford are a good side, bang on form with decent strikers. They are a savvy team too so it isn’t one to play untried and inexperienced youth players. We only have one experienced centre forward available (I count Ayunga as inexperienced) so we can’t do a lot there as Ozzy and Nicholson are still not fit. Who do we play in midfield instead? People don’t trust Barrett, Upson injured so Ogogo is in which every one wanted, Liddle, Hargreaves are inexperienced and haven’t impressed when they came on recently and Rodman is still getting match fit. In defence, Leahy has been our strongest left back and most consistent, Williams only joined a day ago so hasn’t had a chance to really train or get used to the rest of the squad yet, Hare has been poor and the only change could be Little with Ehmer replacing Baldwin (who has been doing ok) or sitting on the bench.
All these moaners but we haven’t really got any other options unless we completely change shape (which is not that advisable in a tough game).
Don’t get me wrong - I’m not confident of a win, it’ll be a draw at best but that’s because of the strength of Oxford not our team sheet

Yet another gaschat conspiracy theory!

Is anybody able to access the Away commentary on iFollow. Apparently the RB team cannot travel due to covid regs, so as the Crewe game no away commentary.
