Ozark on Netflix is good but I expect most people have watched it now. The battered bastards of baseball on Netflix is worth a watch also . Gotta be honest , I’m struggling now 🤷♂️ Still need to watch the 3rd series but can never be bothered, it all got a bit ‘samey’ after a while? I’m gonna put my neck in the line and say Better call Saul is better than breaking bad.. *puts on tin hat* I’ll definitely give FranceGas’ real life films a go, anything based on a true story always makes it more interesting. Been meaning to watch the wire as well, I miss finding a show in addicted to - last one I think I couldn’t stop watching was house of cards

Since early last year when 1st lockdown started, I went through all channels and hit series link on loads of programs so I am currently going through Combat Dealers, Drain the Oceans, all the Gold Hunting stuff, Chasing Classic Cars, The Repair Shop, it's all just easy early afternoon watching. That is until about 2pm when Deep Space Nine followed by Star Trek Voyager starts. I save all films and boxsets to take on holiday with me so evenings are either footy, QI, Hairy Bikers sort of thing.

Really been in to a few classic Hollywood films for escapism, from a time before mobile phones, internet and the marvel universe.
Sunset boulevard The sting Vertigo The man who knew too much
I know the worlds they portray never really existed but they are beautiful ones to see.
Tarrantinos Once upon a time in Hollywood did a great job of recreating the same atmosphere, I thought.

Summer of Rockets was a reasonable watch....not sure what diet Timothy Spall has been on though....turn him sideways to a lamppost and you wouldn’t see him!

Argo is a great film. Not often I like Ben Affleck, but he did a great job in Argo.
Would highly recommend

Anyone seen A Quiet Place?
I'm not usually a fan of horror, although it's more of a thriller. Thought it was brilliant

Argo is a great film. Not often I like Ben Affleck, but he did a great job in Argo. Would highly recommend Argo is excellent. I like Mark Wahlberg films so I really rate Lone Survivor. Definitely worth a watch. Another Wahlberg film again based on true events worth watching is "Deepwater Horizon " Another film worth a watch again based on true events (sorry) is "The Finest Hours" starring Chris Pine.

Was a bit confused as to why they had a programme on CBBC called “Love Monster”.....seems it’s just a cartoon. Phew....😀

There's also another film/documentary on the 2008 crash that was excellent but can't remember the name. But anyway, the big short I'd highly recommend as a true story

Argo is on Netflix but don't think Lone Survivor or Deepwater Horizon are. If you can stream them from another source it's well worth it.

Lone Survivor really questions the "Rules of Engagement" in warfare when your up against the likes of the Taliban.

Anyone found any decent sports related TV shows/movies?
Friday night lights is good (American football) and obviously The Dammed United (Brian Clough) is amazing, but there seems to be little else.
Watched Bull Durham (baseball) which was highly rated but it wasn't great... Although a nice little insight in to the obsessions for local sports teams.

I though it was good and footie related. 6 part drama series based in the 1870s/80s following the origins of modern day football.

I wasn’t a fan of the pilot, tried to hard to be funny for me. But the series really grew on me and I loved it. 8.7 on IMDb too. If you like f1 then drive to survive is superb. Another good football series is a carry on from the Mike Basset films - think it’s called mike Bassett Wirral county or something

Also a true story about American baseball. Great film, great story.
