Day 7 one great save
Ehmer 6.5 for the most part looked comfortable Kilgour 6.5 as above Baldwin 7 we missed him the last two games, our best defender
Williams 7.5 can defend and attack. Did well today Grant 8 everywhere MOTM Liddle 5.5 understandably looked nervous and not match fit Leahy 7.5 one of our best players again today
Nicholson 6.5 in and out of the game Hanlan 6 a good winger, not a good striker Daly 6 nice to see him back fit
Subs: McCormick 7.5 HAS TO START Rodman 6 offered nothing new Ayunga 6.5 looked more threatening than Hanlan
Ref 6 Fleetwood 3

Day 7.5 a confident display, one excellent save and overall handling was spot on. Ehmer 7 much improved, and was even seen issuing instructions! Kilgour 7 solid and decisive. Baldwin 7.5 we look much better with him in defence. Williams 7.5 good defending and going forward. Grant 8.5 M.o.M. his best display in the shirt, protected the defence tenaciously. Liddle 5 a bit overawed, not ready yet. Leahy 7. always involved but still has a tendency to let his winger inside too easily. Nicholson 7.5 he always looked our best bet to score, unlucky with a chance late on. Hanlan 7 the usual high work rate, but the scoring chances again went begging. Daly 6.5 good to see him back, not quite up to speed yet. Subs: McCormick 8.He was everywhere, why the hell didnt he start? Rodman 6 some decent touches, needs more game time. Ayunga 6 he has looked better in the last couple of games. Ref 6. should we have had a penalty ? Fleetwood 5 a shadow of the side that thrashed us last November.

How can any of them be given an 8? It that how low our standards are now? Come on guys! It was a crap game, contested by two very below average teams.. At best a 5 for Williams, the others were poor by any stretch of the imagination. This was a bog standard performance. Please don't settle for and be encouraged by that rubbish performance. Take care and stay safe.

Take care and stay safe. I think you can make a team look crap - in my opinion Grant did that today but protecting the defence all game meaning they were limited to 1 chance. Without that protection even against crap teams they will carve out chances (even we managed 4/5 decent chances yesterday) Hence me giving him an 8

Day - 7.5 solid and safe with one outstanding fingertip save... gave the base to work from Ehmer - 8 gave the kind of performance we thought we would get week in week out when he first signed. Good no nonsense defending Kilgour - 7.5 back to his normal self and even made some good forays forward Baldwin - 7 generally solid, couple of misplaced passes Williams - 8 decent display both going forward and defensively and unlucky to not win what I thought was a Pen Grant - 7 more aggressive and much better in both breaking up play and linking between defence and the forward players Liddle - 6.5 started slowly but grew as the game went on. Good off the ball keeping shape and decent first league start. Potential Leahy - 7 ok display and heard him constantly talking, encouraging others and organising things. Some decent crosses again that deserved better finishing from Nicholson - 7 great on the ball and always causes nerves in the opposition when he’s running with the ball. Got some rough treatment from their defence. Should have done better with that header and a couple of shots. Always running Hanlan - 7 much improved performance but got no support from the ref with Fleetwood constantly climbing and holding him. Held the ball up well. Just not getting any joy in front of goal Daly - 7 we’ve missed his energy up front and his constant running and closing down forcing errors. A little bit rusty. Subs: McCormick - 7 for me our most rounded all rounder midfielder. Lots of energy and helped to keep driving us forward. Good closing when needed and very much box to box Rodman - 6 some nice touches and link play Ayunga - 6 no real impact, again some nice play but similar to Rodman.....was OK Ref - 6 generally ok but missed some big calls and didn’t give enough protection to Our forward players Fleetwood - 6 some moments of quality but you could tell the were off form...

Day 7.5 competent display.
Ehmer 6.5 more like it. Kilgour 7 decent defending and nice to see a shy on goal from distance. Baldwin 7.5 pick of the defence for me.
Williams 7.5 coped with everything down his side. Grant 8 m o m everywhere and just done the simple things to break up their play and keep the ball rolling. Liddle 5 surprise starting inclusion. Leahy 6.5 was again caught ball watching in defence.
Nicholson 7.5 can't knock the jock. Hanlan 6.5 missed from 2 yards out, work hard. Daly 6 good to see him back but looks a bit rusty.
Subs: McCormick 8 one of the most impact sub performance by PT, I thought he injected pace and passing we desperately needed. Rodman 5.5 nice to see him back but contributed little. Ayunga 7 looked a bit brighter and am warming to him.
Ref 4.5 I thought he missed 3 stonewall penalties! Consistent in missing things! Fleetwood 5 they'll be kicking themselves as both sides had chances to win it, but they couldn't impress their manager and we will be just as disappointed because we dominated large periods of the game.
Ok, PT gets a reprieve....most would have taken a point v Fleetwood, but our performance looked more professional. Not so much unforced errors by playing about with it in our own half, we still gave the ball away too much, lacked the ruthless finishing and intermittently ball watched in our own area.
The defence still looks fragile, but there was more purpose and organisation.
Well done us, if we are building from the start it's a decent point but we still must do better in opponents box to offset any mistakes our defence may allay...

Day 7 - Better, One excellent save. Distribution much better
Ehmer 7 - much improved but slow. Kilgour 7.5 - solid but slow. Baldwin 6.5 - Slow, him and Leahy were targeted and struggled.
Williams 7.5 - Our best defender on the day. Good defending and Okay forward. Grant 7 - Looking more confident and growing into the role. Liddle 7 - Did Okay but faded by the time he was subbed off. Needs match time. Leahy 6.5 - Slow, him and Baldwin were targeted and struggled.
Nicholson 7.5 - The most gifted player in a poor side. Hanlan 7 - Busy but so needs a goal! Daly 7.5 - MOM - Our only real threat upfront not quite match sharp.
Subs: McCormick - 7.5 Added to the game when he came on. Rodman 6 - A bit missing when he came on, needs more game time. Ayunga 4.5 - His best game so far in a Rovers shirt but a mile out of his depth.
Ref 4.5 - Missed a Penalty! Fleetwood 5 - A shadow of the side that beat we have played on the last three occasions.

Results in and Josh Grant was Man of the Match with a score of 7.59. This was Grant's first MotM and he becomes the 70th different player to achieve one in these threads.
Luke McCormick's score of 7.31 was the highest by a substitute since Liam Sercombe's 7.33 away to Bradford in September 2018. This means that no substitute by either Graham Coughlan or Ben Garner ever scored as high a rating. It wasn't an uncommon occurrence under Darrell Clarke though as there are at least twenty instances of a sub scoring that high in the preceding four and a half seasons.
The starting XI average was 6.77.
Day 7.1
Ehmer 6.6 Kilgour 6.9 Baldwin 7.0
Williams 7.5 Grant 7.6 Liddle 5.6 Leahy 6.7
Nicholson 6.9 Hanlan 6.4 Daly 6.2
Subs: McCormick 7.3 Rodman 5.7 Ayunga 5.6
Ref 5.5 Fleetwood 4.8

Great as always mate thanks. It was good to see that McCormick can make an impact from the subs bench... more often when we look to bring on players, i can't see that "impact" but I liked what McCormick brought with him. Also well done to Grant... had a lot of stick in the previous game so definitely responded. Top bloke!
