Yes i know its nowt to do with Rovers or football but John Pullin plied his trade for many years at The Memorial Stadium and reached the very top of the game , captaining England, British Lion and the only non Welshman to feature in 'the try of the century', the quietly spoken local farmer was hugely respected in the game and a true legend of the city our football club represents, condolences to family and friends.(Mods may wish to move to general but wanted to bring this to the forefront)

Thanks for posting this, it prompted me to re-watch that greatist try - truly magnificent.
RIP John Pullin one of the all time greats.

One of Bristol's greatest players and possibly the best hooker to play for England. RIP John.

Very sad news. His farm was in Aust wasn’t it?
I used to love watching Bristol play at the Mem, especially against sides from South Wales on midweek nights. Can’t bear to watch the game these days.
