I was blocking up a doorway on Greville road in Southville. I was landing in Florida on business. I turned my phone on and it went ballistic with messages, got shouted at by a dragon in US customs who didn't understand who or what the mighty gas were and told me she would send back on the next plane unless I turned it off !!!
Thanks Wael, these 5 years have flown by, or is that just misery and old age. p.s. lend me £10.00...............................
A dragon as in a harridan type of from dragons den ?

Higgs was desperate to get his cash back and sell to who ever he could. He looked like he had death on his shoulders and was close to being financially ruined! Yes at the time we all thought we won the lottery but in truth we were never going to be the next Man City when it comes to finances. Yes things are happening off the field (training ground) but we are not moving forward on the field and wonder how long we can go with a owner who has no clue how to manage key footballing decisions. We will never know if there were better options when Higgs sold out but I don't think that ever truly mattered to him as he was desperate to recoup his money that he lost over the years. All due to the court case , the final one, with Snakesbury’s. No other board member would put anymore money towards the cost and so he had little choice but to take the high interest loan. Just look back at the photos of NH and how he aged and looked dreadful. The rest is history

I think poor wael took on a hopeless cause 😫 We had our first back to back promotions and the best momentum I have known, since Don Megson at Eastville. I don’t think we were or are a lost cause but I think we didn’t invest in the team, when we had so much going for us. I think Wael is a decent man but I don’t feel the same of those who advise him.

The rest is history There were options, but Nick took the decision which suited him (and his family) best, and no-one can criticise him for that, (a man has to do what a man has to do) and five years on who can prove that any other option would have been better for the Club? Time will perhaps be the decider but we might get a clue when the latest accounts are published and the true financial position is disclosed. Wael and his board deserve praise for standing on the plate but has he (they) the means? when we all know there are creditors standing in the wings who have been told there is no money.

Who are these creditors queuing up for their unpaid bills? You say we all know this, but I don't. Unless you mean Dwane Sports.

I presume we lost today. 👀 The accounts will be up to 30 June 2020 so will be 9 months out of date and predate the capitalisation of debts anyway, won't they?

Well I don't know who these "creditors standing in the wings who have been told there is no money" are, so would be grateful if you could let us all know who they are? Thankyou.

You won't get an answer. fanatical is what I call one of the 'grenade throwers'. They throw grenades in to the small pond and love to see the mud fly. However they then run away as fast as they can and won't answer any questions or challenges that come their way. It's boring and tedious but I guess you always get them and just have to recognise their characteristics and move on without the expectation of any clarification. I have long come to accept that fanatical won't justify or explain any of the comments he throws in. It does make me laugh though when they say that WAQ should do what is in the best interests of the club and then say as fanatical does above '...but Nick took the decision which suited him (and his family) best, and no-one can criticise him for that, (a man has to do what a man has to do)...'Regards

He’s been asked very directly by many people over the years many simple questions that he won’t answer. Like how many members of the presidents club there are.

That’s not strictly factual, he apparently had multiple offers from various buyers and consortiums which he turned down before Wael came along.

It’s funny how the five year anniversary of Wael’s arrival recently passed with the evolution not revolution still his mantra...
And with glacial progress being made he wasn’t wrong in his predicted timescale. My god he must have learnt some really tough, personal and professional lessons in that time.
As fans we’ve had to suffer the pains of some of those lessons as well. The Barton appointment I believe is his first major, single minded decision, that reveals his passion for success.
Hopefully now that decision has been made he will build on his confidence in his role and clear the deadwood he’s encumbered himself with over the last five years.
I really hope that the start of next season will see a much more streamlined management structure at the club and we will be a much clearer reflection of Wael’s desire for the club.
