The big team that are top of the league beat us on their own soil, wasn’t expecting anything from this anyway. Bad day behind us and easier games ahead. Still think we’ll be fine come the end of the season

Well that was disappointing..... neither side was playing particularly well up until the first goal which was typical of our season - any mistake we make in defence gets punished. Leahy should have just played safe and smashed that ball out....we then proceeded to play poorly until half time. 2nd half with our change of shape we started to play better without really threatening and then got caught on the break having committed so many men forward to try and equalise... After that, we steadied the ship and began growing into the game with some decent half chances where rushed play, a lack of composure, unlucky fortune or good Hull defending cost us. We’ve played worst but also a lot better but we never really deserved anything from the game ... Hull looked more purposeful and composed as you’d expect.... I’m not throwing the towel in yet but it is important we start to pick up points in the next few games as a couple of teams around us won unexpectedly.... On a different note, I thought Ayunga looked sharper and he had some nice moments and good strength etc when he came on....I’d be tempted to play him from the off on Tuesday night... This is why we need to do the basics when defending, if in doubt clear your lines and keep your shape

I think we need to give Hanlan a rest and let Ayunga have a run of games. I know there aren’t many left but he just looks like he needs a rest. Perhaps the same with Nicholson, let Daly get back playing and harassing defenders, he’s ideal for the high press game.
I really can’t see a way out of this but still think we need to stick with JB if he wants to stay!!

scary to think we've just played two of the weaker sides and lost both though. Frustrating thing is we've been rubbish to watch for a long time now, don't think many of us get much enjoyment from this anymore! Just wish I could give it up and get my Saturdays back but sadly just can't walk away. Ill just keep renewing that season ticket every year regardless of the rubbish served up on the pitch Don't think I've truly enjoyed a game since the last home game under GC. Strange you should say that. As i don't think i ever enjoyed any games under him.

As soon as Grant went down and needed assistance it was game over. Hull then scored with rovers temporarily down to 10. Harries not doing his job again. Leaving laehy to constantly do his job for him. Leahy tries to let it run out their player gets a fortunate touch...misses the player he aims to pass at and fortunately for them the man behind us unmarked. Day will feel disappointed . Westbrooke WILL pick up a very bad injury at some point ,he makes half hearted attempts to tackle and that usually is dangerous for the player.
I wasnt expecting anything more than defeat so cant be too disappointed. There are a lot of points to play for but unless JAB can unlock something not yet spotted in the squad this Rovers team is league 2 bound unfortunately.

Once again we've shot ourselves in the foot with two appalling goals. Leahy trying to let the ball run out instead of putting his foot through it and then two centre backs going for same ball (without seeing it back I actually think Kilgour is already committed and Harries should have dropped off) then to compound the error Harrries runs away from the striker bearing down on our goal. The big frustration for me is that Day hasn't made a save all game and yet we've still managed to concede twice. Add that to our complete inability to threaten the opposition goal and it's not difficult to see why we are in the bottom 4. However I dont feel all is lost, we've proved against Portsmouth and Shrewsbury that we have the ability to win games, 4 out of the next 6 at home that will go a long way to determining if we have any chance of escaping come April.

That was a hard watch the game was lacking quality from both sides. We have been done by 2 bad bits of defending, sounds familiar,Leahy for the first and Kilgour for the second. The difference in the game as they never really dominated but we never really threatened until the last 5 minutes when the game was done. Losing Grant is huge as he was starting to control the middle and as soon as he went off we lost that.

A little perspective needs to be thought of here. Hull are a big side, 2nd. We were away. We had a lot of positives especially 2nd half. It is sadly another nail in the coffin. If we get relegated, we have to collectively man up and take it with good grace Yes, I think this is fair. I also think we have everything still to play for. The players will be very motivated for Tuesday against Accrington and that will be a good litmus test for where we are. Everyone knows there is a massive gulf in this division between the top few teams and the rest. We’ve had a poor record against the better sides ever since we got promoted so hard though it is, we have to stay positive as we probably have as good a chance of staying up as any of that bottom 7.

Leahey has cost us a number of goals this season and his inability to defend as a professional begs the question as to why he is a full back and why have so many of our Managers used him in that role? Was Rodman played there under GC?

Well result was as expected so no panic , funny old game in it? we outplayed Burton yet they go and beat posh, Northampton thump pompey, Wigan win to, mmm! Still we are not cast adrift and still all to play for, i am in the camp that says Hanlan needs a rest, surprised Max came back to-day as defence seemed a bit tighter last couple games.

Was Rodman played there under GC? I think rodman was playing right wing back (?) Rovers were playing 3 centrebacks at the time of the first goal,Leahy was left midfield . Harries should have been doing the job not leahy. With the ball halfway across the deadball line im sure rovers fans would have applauded leahy if he had then booted it out for a corner.

Not a game I was expecting a result, but more defensive mistakes today unfortunately cost us again and didn't give ourselves a chance.

Wigan had 2 shots on target scored twice. Shrewsbury had 1 with Day in goal and scored once. So in the last 3 games with Day in goal, we have only had 4 shots on target against us. Shrewsbury had one more shot on target, when he went off, thats was saved. Is Day jinxed😂 Every shout on target has gone in and he was knocked out as well. If they didn’t all go in, we would be saying that we are limiting other teams to few chances.
