So you are saying Harry is lying ..... Perhaps he is , if so would that be so shocking. Tbh I don't really care the whole thing in the current context is unnecessary and not worthy of the amount of print it's taking up

It was on the BBC website, didn't realise I needed to memorise it . Well if you’re putting it up as a counter narrative, quoting an unnamed aide isn’t a very strong argument.

Really, come on you know how it works,Charles isn't going to go public,I am just passing on what was reported on a bonafide BBC website ,look at it and make up your own mind as I have.

So you don't believe an unnamed aide has confirmed Charles did not cut him off financially but believe an unnamed member of the Royal family made a racist remark about Archie !! Why should Charles bankroll his 36 year old son. Harry inherited on his 30th birthday £10M from his late mother add that to Meghans estimated net worth of $5M when they got together. It is estimated their joint net worth now is $50M. They have signed a spotify deal reportedly worth $25M and a Netflix deal worth $100M +. Surely they can afford their own security out of that without daddys help.

Ok 👍 As for the money side of things , they’re free to strike whatever deals they like now. As a free marketeer voting Tory you should be applauding them surely?

Wasn't their speaking out in response to the bullying claims, rather than a random interview out of thin air?
Tbf this had been brewing for a while. I haven't seen the interview as frankly, I don't care - but I probably expect the truth to be in the middle of both sides, it usually is.
I do however believe that she has been vilified by the British tabloids. Whether that was from racism, I don't know. It's too simplistic to compare her to Kate and say one was and one wasn't therefore it must be skin colour. It could very easily be the fact that she's American. Could it be because Kate will be queen/princess and we know Meghan never will be? Many questions, perhaps a bit of each.
However, I do feel that once the first slip up/story happened, the country's dislike of Meghan was probably fuelled by racism, which increased sales and attention - only encouraging them further.

Yes to the first bit. I’m sure there is two sides , there always is but it’s interesting that all those I expected to not be on M&H side ..... are not on their side. To be honest I’m not that interested either ! 😂

4 people liked this. Can I get a clarification from any of you what a poorly-tasted costume from 16 years ago when Harry was 20 has to do with his wife being racially abused by the press? Suppose someone dresses in a Nazi costume. Does that mean that for life they are incapable of being racially abused?

Interesting poll stats on sky news about who has and has not got sympathy for Harry & Meghan. Conservative voters very little , Labour voters a lot more.18-24 yr olds I think was something like 44% and over 65s only 9% . With age comes wisdom. youll get there one day, look back and wonder how you could have held such ridiculous views. Grover won't, he's a tinpot Marxist bankrupt haulage contractor. You say that like Marxist is an insult, it's not.

Didn't see the interview, but I thought she complained about being racially abused by the Royal Institute, not the press? And I'm not sure what your question is. As for the photo, it was meant to be a light hearted poke at the irony of complaining against racism.

I guess it depends on how seriously people take the meme/joke Harry has never claimed to be perfect that I know of. Part of the interview is Harry saying Meghan opened his eye and made him a better person. Harry has always struck me that he has never held the institution of the monarchy in a great light, but dutifully went a long with it. Its his family after all and he probably would have been happier staying inthe Army

That is an aide to the King in awaiting, so very much doubt he would be lying. I have absolutely no issue with Harry and Meghan signing deals worth over $100M (I must say I'm surprised you don't) but what gets me is for them to sit there saying the past year has been incredibly tough, (hasn't it been tough for everyone in the UK, with 120k+ families mourning a loved one) and say he is disappointed with his father because he has been cut off financially at age 36 and he won't get his security paid for by in effect the UK tax payer when he could afford his own security .
