You just said, in effect, that you have no idea with regard to my life experiences. You are therefore totally wrong to suspect that yours are more varied, in depth or by any other measure because you just don’t know. It seems, therefore, that my grasp and usage of theEnglish language is at least the equal of yours. As for my experiences of the NF and the Anti-Nazi League and the other raggle taggle groups that came along for the crack, it is difficult to decide which group was the more repulsive. on the one hand you had the NF Neanderthals who, despite their odious views looked like they had a passing acquaintance with soap and water, and most of them were in work. Fairly low grade as you might expect, but at least they were making a contribution. The others were to a person dirty, smelly, unkempt social security scrounges who seemed to be in the vanguard of obscene body piercings and specialised in stinking of BO. A comparison with fox hunting comes to mind when describing these incidents, “the unspeakable in pursuit of the inedible” At what point are you going to comprehend, "I suspect"... Herewith the definition of’Suspect’ As you can see, whilst one may suspect something about someone or something, they can’t be entirely sure because they are not in possession of all the facts. Lets now examine your suspicions regarding me. You have admitted that you know nothing about me beyond my user name and my avatar. You know absolutely nothing about my background, education, hobbies, apart from football, obviously, my employment history, family etc etc. You are therefore in no position to suspect anything about me. All you can do is make baseless suppositions about me. As for the rest of what you describe as my rant; all I can do is relay what I witnessed first hand. I’m sorry if that doesn’t chime with your dewy-eyed ideal but there you go. Facts as they say, are facts. |

We will not suppress the legitimate protests of the people as long as they are.. 1. Peaceful 2. Legal 3. Not during a pandemic that is killing 10s of thousands of people " Absolutely spot on, bang on the money and so reasonable that even reactionary, left wing couldn’t object. |

For example, Oldie withdrew from this forum for a few weeks. I could have made myself look silly by saying on here I suspected he got so overwrought arguing with me that he decided to take time out. Two things, first I had absolutely no evidence to suggest that because he has never said and second, how arrogant would that appear when I think it was because of me he took a break. Oldie could havve left left for any number of reasons. He could have suffered ill health for example. I hope it wasn't that but I've never commentated because I didn't know. The best I could have done is speculate. Well seeming as you actually accused him leaving as “running away” (was it?) and used it to score political points, your entire point is invalid. But again, you or anyone else can suspect anything they want. It doesn’t change the fact that oldie suspected it. First Bus have suspended bus services in and around Bristol City centre from 4pm today to 5am tomorrow morning. Health care and Nurses amongst others could well be affected. Workers that went into Bristol this morning on the bus now have to find alternative transport home from work this evening. And people have been defending this type of action - perhaps they're NIMBYS. This is an 'effing' nuisance oldie whether you like it or not.
It genuinely saddens me that our City is back in the spotlight again for all the wrong reasons.

Workers that went into Bristol this morning on the bus now have to find alternative transport home from work this evening. And people have been defending this type of action - perhaps they're NIMBYS. This is an 'effing' nuisance oldie whether you like it or not. It genuinely saddens me that our City is back in the spotlight again for all the wrong reasons. If you do get a reply then it will be a double edge one as per usual. The more disruption to the cause the better no matter who or what it effects that is the ultimate goal and always has been for protests. These people are the biggest two faced hypocrites on the planet and lead sad lives......I suspect. |

Genuine question. Then "The more disruption to the cause the better" Are you suggesting that those demonstrating seek to disrupt their demonstrations in trying to achieve their stated aim?? Now that would bring a whole new interpretation of Machiavellianism. 😁 But moving along,the demos are no longer illegal under lockdown rules. To wit: "Changes to coronavirus lockdown rules that came into force yesterday (Monday) mean protesting is now an exception to the ban on large gatherings. However, this is on the condition that the organisers take precautions to protect against COVID-19." Will be interesting how the Police handle this. But what a terrible position to put the police in. The government (sic) really shouldn't be doing this. Drop the wording, it all goes away. |
