Joey’s morning after the night before presser;
“If I could go in today and cut surgically the cancer that’s running throughout the club out, I would. But I can’t because I need a period of time and a transfer window to do that."
Absolutely damming of the work of his predecessors and no punches pulled whatsoever. Good on you Joey.

Or is that an easy way to deflect the blame from yourself? Just a question,and no I don't know the answer sadly.

That's a quick cancer as 14 months ago, we weren't doing too badly.

It’s no good Joey getting rid of the current lot if those hugely responsible for employing them are still at the club. I can’t imagine TW will survive this shambles

Is it a cancer running through the club or just on the playing side? That’s a bit contradictory to say the least and he’s getting more desperate with his damning of the club every game, right or wrong. How is he getting away with saying something as crude as that when a diplomatic ‘we have nothing in the box’ is the beginning of the end for Tisdale? It tells me everything about the Rovers and what they have become.

Barton hasn't had that luxury yet but will probably be a different story if he is saying the same things come Nov/Dec

As Barton clearly favours a seafaring cliche or two, I’ll say it in his language. What he has said should have rocked the boat far more. If Wael is really going to nail the quarters firmly to Barton’s mast then it is going to be a very rocky crossing. Let’s just hope he can get the wind blowing in the right direction.

Barton hasn't had that luxury yet but will probably be a different story if he is saying the same things come Nov/Dec People keep banging on about the January transfer window, so he didn’t try to get anyone else in besides Williams and Day? Players were queuing up to join Rovers but he said no! Are People forgetting the famous Widderington black book of quality? I’m not having this January transfer window reason to lambast Tisdale and spread blame for what Barton is getting away with now as what is the point in signing worse than you already have? We’ve been there before with desperate signings and paying the price years later. I’m seeing the same with Barton as I did with Tisdale just Barton’s more crude with the excuses.

DC parted ways after making similar comments, Tisdale left immediately after questioning the ability of his forward line, which was a bit of a dig at the board for failing to secure him a striker. If we go down and Barton gets convicted in court, wouldn’t be surprised at all if the club and Barton mutually part ways. The board don’t like receiving criticism or answering it on BBC Radio Bristol for that matter.

I think he will stay if we are relegated which would be ok but if the court case goes against him we will have no choice but to get rid but this is Rovers after all so who knows?

He is 100% on the money and if it makes certain people who appear fireproof uncomfortable so much the better. JB reminds me of DC very much wearing his heart on his sleeve and calling it as it is. If we do go down I hope we have the nerve to stay with him and his team as there is so much dead wood we will be in danger of going further backwards if we start again with another manager. Most clubs who are successful have consistency and don't chop and change every season.

We can highlight many things we are not happy with from stadium, facilities and the rest but the simple truth is the players are not good enough for league 1. The Twerton days and associated facilities were as bad as it gets , a lot worse than now but we had a team, some of whom were not the best, but collectively as a team they were all legends, and gave us , arguably, the best season ever. So far 3 diff managers with diff styles have been unable to turn this current squad into a team which unfortunately means another rebuild for next season .

Indeed, I guess some won’t bother reading it though but it won’t stop them from thinking they know exactly what’s been said just because of the emotive headline. Everything he said was spot on as well as very revealing about the current DNA at the club!
