I’ve sussed it Been staring me in the face all season We need to adopt a formation no-one has ever seen before to out wit the Likkle one It’s a defensive wall that will be impossible to break down Anssi in goal (even if unfit, doesn’t matter) he’s the only one that can use his hands Day lingers around the six yard line with JVS, throwing their bodies at anything and just kinda making a nuisance of themselves In front of them we play Williams, Kilgour, Ehmer, Baldwin, Harries, Leahy Upson ‘sits’ to protect that frail unit Ayunga mostly defends set pieces and mustn’t venture past the half way line at any cost. It’s basically a 1-1-1-6-1-1 I like your thinking. I think I can improve. I suggest an 11-0-0 formation where we get all our tallest players to stand on the goal line. Dont even think about a breakaway. Just stand there. For 90 minutes.

Just hope it's not too much of a hammering. If we can keep it to 3 goals that wouldn't be too bad. Rocees 0 - 3 Sunderland I'm hoping Sunderland will be mindful of their upcoming games, and once in the lead, will save themselves for those, rather than hammering us. Not much chance of that. They'll be looking to boost their Goal difference which could be the decider for them on automatic promotion or the play-offs. The chance we have is that they are suffering with injuries at the back - all the defence effectively playing out of position in recent games with O'Nien at CH I believe. Maybe, just maybe Ayunga could exploit that, given some sort of service to him. We have to find a way to cut off the service to Wyke which mostly comes from McGeady since he came back into the team under Johnson

We've actually had some decent performances/results against the black cats, when we've been on bad form. Would be very rovers to get something today after abject defeats to Plymouth and Swindon!

Doesn't take a genius to see where their goals come from Wyke with the goals and McGeady with assists I noticed they have switched their attacking midfielder O'Nien to centre half could be something to exploit as I don't think he's the tallest chat. View AttachmentO'Nien normally plays as a RB.

If we can't get at least a draw today, its crucial that we don't get thrashed.... Any big deficit on goal difference would be tantamount to being deducted a point the way the table is right now....
We have to go out like at Charlton, and hope for the best today....

It would be so typical of Rovers to do Sunderland today (and maybe Ipswich too) on the way to relegation.

If we get relegated then we'll be going to the mighty Morecambe.Last time I went there in 2013 we drew 1-1 with Eliot heading an equaliser after Tom Parkes got done for pace by Jack Redshaw for their goal. Anyway nice ground far better than ours but hardly any fans there-pre Covid- and reckon we had as many there as them.Great day out but League two ain't too exciting at places like that!! Barrow and Harrogate too!!!

The best side in the league against the worst. I think it could get messy I’m afraid. I can’t see our leaky defence keeping out Sunderland. A mate of mine at work is a big Sunderland fan and he says they are looking the best they have all season. If they are up for it, which I think they will be based on what is up for grabs for them, I think it will be a case of how many they want to score.

We will need to score with both of those shots to stand any chance of getting at least a draw.

Head says nothing but a comprehensive 3-0 defeat, heart says we’ll be right up for it, want to put the last few games right and with us generally being better against the better sides, we grab a 1-1 draw or even sneak a 1-0 or 2-1 win.... here’s hoping my heart is right today!

Rovers struggling...sunderland flying...reminds me of a day back in the 80s....lets hope its a repeat and JAB can follow what happened with Gerry after that game. 4-1 to Rovers.
