I don’t think Williams knows how to mark, he always looks totally baffled at where the player has come from. Not that it will make much difference but surely he has to be dropped now. Hare can’t be any worse.

I still think that if JB can avoid going down twice in a season, he is the man to make us a force in div 2 next season. I don,t agree with his public outbursts against previous managers and current players, but everything he said is true. Losing Rodman and Nicholson and the soul destroying defeat at Charlton really sealed our fate. The big worry I have is his scope for bringing in new players, we are going to have a lot of Garners kids still under contract and I cant see clubs busting a gut to sign any of them. A final word on signings, I think we all agree Garner is mostly responsible for this mess, but Tisdales mate George Williams is up there with the rest of them.

Saw it was the orange booted player who lost his marker for the goal so poor to concede, then later on realised it was him, has been decent in spells but like so many not good enough. Not embarrassed today and debutants looked decent. Iinteresting that Rodders rates Barrett because I do, and think if he could get a good pre season he could be a good number 10.

Unfortunately today was just like watching a repeat of so many other games this season. Plenty of the ball but never really looked like scoring, then the standard goal conceded from a set piece kills us. I fully expected a defeat today but cant knock the effort, Walker looks a very good prospect and I thought Martinez did ok considering he was making his debut out of position. We do have some talented young players, hopefully Barton can get some experience in to help their progress and we can rebuild

Today was a meh match for me as are the rest of the matches this season. I have resigned myself to the fact we are going to be relegated. I did not watch the match or keep tabs until the last few minutes. I didn't really care that we lost again as we are obviously not good enough to stay up and it is really not worth the angst and ruining the evening anymore. Roll on next season in League 2.

If he could shed a stone and not get injured constantly then he COULD be a good player at this level. Thing is we’ve got a squad full of players that could be good for us but together they’re a bunch of individuals who haven’t gelled and have had 3 different managers in one season. It’s the stuff relegation is made of, a shambles from 15 months ago until now.

Eight games to go, two points from safety. There is still hope.

Another match. Another defeat. Another no goals scored. Another no clean sheet. Business as usual.

Its been debated ad nauseum elsewhere so won't go into it here but Joey B has made absolutely ZERO difference to the outcome of the season. In fact, regardless of the arguments being put forwards in mitigation, objectively you can't disagree that he's actually taken us backwards.

The goal we conceded today is what we have seen all season.
Sad thing is that he has nothing to do with tactics or formation but its down to a player not doing his job of basic defending.
I think there was a brief spell when Tisdale came in and we looked more secure from set pieces but then it just faded away.
This is where I will give the managers we have had all season a break as a defender should know his job of picking up his man from corners.
They will be times when a defender will lose his man but nearly every game we have seen there has been a moment where you think “they should have scored there” or they actually score from a free header of tap in.
Even with Westbrooke and some of his balls from free-kicks, he does produce a decent delivery but there are too many times the ball doesnt’t clear the first man and while we can all blame BG, PT and JB when we lose there are too many times when the player doesn’t produce the goods at the moment when it matters and that is down to the player not concentrating properly and that applies to our strikers too who just don’t take the chances when it matters and that is why we are where we are this season.
Fans will say but surely the manager needs to change the player but it seems every player we have has had at a few moments where they have switched off and even LL who has been our most consistent player IMO had done it a few times.
Also I think BG said at the start of season we wanted to play a high pressing game but nearly every game I have seen us play this season we look the better team in the first half but second half we seem to struggle, This is where I agree with fans who said maybe he was so obsessed with how he wanted us to play we did too much ball work and not enough on fitness and now we are starting to see with the injuries we are getting and the players dropping off after half time that could very well be the case.
Also as Frosty has said tonight and what every fan has said on here, We miss TC not just for his defensive ability but the way he would organise players on the pitch. Won’t go into Ehmer but Leahy has done a much better job but he and nobody at the club compares to TC.

We just don't take our chances. Not even close, frontline is useless and with a back line that continues to make mistakes like again this afternoon, it's hard to see where any points are coming from.
Dammit!!!!!!

Having defended set pieces so badly all season I would have thought that prior to every game every player gets given their man to mark. Tell them - stay goal side of your man Tell them - if they start to move go with them and stay goal side . Then yeah if the two players jump and their bloke wins it and scored then at least he was jumping with a Rovers player jumping with him. Today’s goal was very similar to the last goal we conceded v Swindon in that no Rovers player attacked the ball, nobody made it their business to defend our football club from relegation. A bunch of bottlers I can’t wait for the summer I want whoever our manager is and i hope it is Barton to shake this bunch of wimps up , bring in some leaders and build a football squad. Basically put right the wrongs that Garner made and Tisdale didn’t put right. Barton is a no legged man in an arse kicking competition this season with this squad.

JB blaming officials again. Conspiracy theory and officiating forclast 8 or 9 games not good enough. FA charge coming his way soon I think.

We always conjure up a miracle striker from nowhere, so thats still on the cards In my 40 Years supporting the Gas we’ve always sold our best striker haven’t spent the money and then relied on finding a new one to take his place by spending peanuts in the hope that it turns out alright. More often than not it has but the years it hasn’t we’ve been relegated. 37 years supporting Rovers and all four relegations have come from this and I think this will be the 5th because we haven’t found one after the departure of JCH. That’s what it boils down to. True! but the board spent more money on the 2001 striker force Evans Richards Ellington Cameron plus the 4 others and 2011 squad Duffy kuffour hoskins akinde and the 3 others than the mere 100k on two rookies and a 4th in line ... I said it October and now any club being that mean on the strikers deserve relegation !

I’ve started planning my away trips for next season
Going to be some long drives North, but that’s ok. Be lovely to get in the car again and go explore, nice cultural trip to Harrogate, curry in Bradford and a visit to the lakes via Carlisle
Hope to get Torquay and that Exeter stay down. Always liked visiting there.
