What kind of player is Martinez? Haven’t seen or heard to much about him. We’ve got nothing to lose anyway so may as well play the youngsters and test them for next season. Amazing to see Jaakola back, especially during the international break. C’mon Rovers, show us some pride if nothing else and go down with a fight. Looked very capable in pre-season. Skillful and composed for a centre back, also played right back. It is a baptism of fire for him today though. I hope the lad rises to the occasion. |

Essential we don't stand off their wingers today, their whole turn around has been no fancy stuff, just cross the ball to Wyke. If we can cut off that supply we have at least a fighting chance

Wow, don’t think anyone saw this line up coming! Will be interesting to see Martinez as in pre season he looked quite tidy. Walker has got pace to burn and can be a bit of a live wire for us. Amazing that Anssi is back - will be a massive presence for us. Also I doubt Johnson would have preempted this so will have been thrown off balance a bit.
Thing about playing this kind of team is that hopefully they should play without fear and that youthful energy and exuberance should give as something on the front foot. The counter is that if we go a goal down and struggle early then heads are likely to drop quickly and we risk a battering....
I’m feeling quietly confident..
