One of our most embarrassing moments was when we found a sponsor for the tent in the corner between the South Tent and the stand where the changing rooms are.We called a press conference and the Club officials and sponsors stood in front of it announcing they were the proud sponsors of our new stand. It's a tent in reality and the publicity shot made me cringe claiming it was a new stand.

My Club .... Our Club ... Is the laughing stock of English football. Not just for the dross on the pitch but in the awful way the appalling running of the club is played out in public. It's an absolute tragedy... I want to stay positive but with every passing week i sense I am drifting further away from this Circus. I am afraid I am thinking exactly the same and with other Chairman adding their five pence worth and JB's vendetta against the officials too. Sadly mud sticks and it's our club's name being dragged through it. I suspect a lot of fans will be thinking the same thing and I think it says everything when we don't have any Rovers fans within a mile of the boardroom table these days.

This could impact of the club as it could also be sued for vicarious liability for an action by an employee.
If this has legs then the club will need to take legal advice to protect their position for example issuing an apology and disassociating themselves from the comments to limit potential damages.
Could end up in yet another mess. Silly, silly thing to do on air if you ask me and even sillier if the video was posted on the clubs website.

It's not classy from Barton I'll agree, but them taking legal action to Barton/their previous employer because the manager said, "Whatever has gone before me has been negligent." is frankly ridiculous. As a manager you have to ignore the outside criticism and if anyone interviews you on it, you explain why/how he's wrong and just sour grapes. They won’t be taking action against the club unless it can be shown the club is a party to the act...the action will be against Barton. Not so sure about that. An employer can be included in an action for vicarious actions of an employee undertaken in the course of their employment. Hope the club did not post the video on their website.

Surely it's down to personal opinion, no one is going to say who is right or wrong on training regimes can t see it has legs.

He has the worst record in the top seven divisions in English football...how can he criticise others? because its not his team, its Garners team and the players are not up to it!

We've not done too well in court in the past.

I thought both Garner and Tisdale were still on the payroll so technically still employed by the club?
Perhaps that could raise further complications. One for the legal experts on here.

It's the tip of the iceberg at the moment, just wait until Barton's trial on June 7th commences, the club will be dragged through the media mire by association world wide when that starts. I guess you reap what you sow.

I'm beginning to hope JB and entourage decants to Present, Wael replaces the Board except Gorringe and we start again in league 2 with a clean slate. Who would want to own a football club?

JB , just button it eh!. I have been very impressed with JB's interviews when he sticks to football matters and his plans to improve our lot but alas like others before him in all walks of life he has let his mouth run wild. I do not agree with him lambasting prev coaches or humiliating one of his own players in public, His outbursts have attracted unwanted media attention, thankfully verbal outburst as opposed to physical ones, none the less we could do without it given our somewhat precarious foothold in tier 3, some one should be advising him to stick to what he needs to be good at , football tactics, motivating the team, and the like. Plenty of folk get themselves in trouble by opening there mouths, Mr TRUMP being a prime example, as soon as he spoke controversy followed, what ever good intentions he had.( just an analogy, not being political!).People like Brian Clough often said outrageous things but spoke from a position of strength, I.E.' i may not be the best manager but i am in the top 1!) . I don't think JB is quite in that position of strength yet so some one needs to take him to one side and advise him to concentrate on on field matters, hope they succeed as i believe he could do great things for us in the long term but at the moment the fears of the anti JB ERS have materialised in the shape of unwelcome publicity, to put it 'agriculturally JB ' shut the F...k up!

I feel you @lionheart last few weeks I've been on here less, and I'm not sure whether I'll bother watching us lose next time we're on the grass

I’m afraid like him or loathe him these are the traits that make up the character that is JB , he has an aggressive personality , at least it’s confined to words and not actions , so for . God knows he has enough at Rovers to get him worked up , he totally underestimated what he was taking on , must be tearing his hair out now reality has set in ! Utg

You know the irony if Tisdale does sue is that we are still paying him a monthly wage- so in reality we are funding the action against the current manager.
Fabulous times...
