Still chance, looking at Northampton's fixtures, if we can beat them I can't see them getting another point Good point they've got a tough run in. Everyone else down there lost I believe except for them so although we lost, its not different to us all winning really. Losing was never going to be good today but could have been an awful lot worse. Win on Monday and it could be game on. |

I can’t work out why we played Dave T at left centre half? I know we have injury issues but Baldwin, Martinez, Little and Leahy can all play in a back 3.
In game substitutions baffle me too. Needing a goal and not giving the hard working Daly any minutes on the pitch and then bring Hare and Barrett on in the 90th minute?

Massively frustrating to watch yet again, water poor defending within the first 10 mins killed us and yet from then on we were arguably the better side and Jaakkola hasnt had a save to make. Really like the look of Martinez very calm on the ball especially as he's playing out of position, a definite positive from the last 2 games.
IF and it's a big IF we can cut out those sloppy defensive moments over the last few games we could still escape, unfortunately evidence from the season so far would suggest we'll give every team we play at least one gift per game.

Daly not being given any time is really odd.
When Barton was appointed he made a point that he was looking forward to working with two players in particular - Westbrooke and Daly.

Otzumer has been sh**e for us so we’ve got very little in terms of creativity, we mostly just lumped it and Hanlan and Ayunga haven’t really formed any kind of partnership.
Surely Daley would make a better Target man striker partnership Hanlan has been poor all year.
All that aside if you commit defensive suicide in the first 10 minutes and go 2-0 down then 99 times out of 100 your not going to get anything from a game.
Can’t see is staying up in a million years.
We’re just crap in both boxes when it matters.

This complaining about referees is getting farcical. Goalkeeper was not sent off as there were 2 Ipswich defenders covering, unlike when Day was sent off previously. The incident where people were calling for a second yellow card was a football collision and head on head contact with no intent on the part of the Ipswich guy. As usual the reason for the defeat was the awful defensive mistakes. I don't understand though why Daly is not given a start.

I just can't put my finger on why this season has been such a shambles.
Jaakola is for me the best keeper in the Division. Granted he's missed a lot of games.
Ehmer on a free transfer seemed good business, he was Gillingham Captain and had some of the best stats in the Division in terms of Headers won and interceptions.
McCormick has proved his quality.
Westbrooke, again on a free transfer seemed good business, he didn't play 30 odd games for the team who won the league last season because he's sh*t.
Nicholson like McCormick has shown his quality.
Oztumer on loan, looked a good acquisition, proven quality at this level.
Those 6 players I would suggest most clubs in this Division would of taken them.
Yes, the terrible Defending and lack of goals is the reason we're down the bottom and plenty of imbalance within the squad,but with those players we shouldn't be near the bottom.
It is baffling.
