Rover drive ... I don’t think there is a manager out there who could improve this squad .. they are a woeful group brought together by incompetents. Easy to have the existing manager as a scapegoat but of the names available to us not one could have improved much. Out of interest ... if a neighbours dog craps in your garden would you blame your dog ? There is crap in the garden must be your dogs fault surely? Posting mid way through a game that the one hope of keeping us up should be sacked ... the third in a season is nonsense. Agree I don't think anyone could improve what we have here. Paul Cook was a name alot wanted and he really hasn't been setting the world alight at Ipswich and I thought they were poor today we gifted them 2 goals bar clearing one of the line they really never threatened us and looked shaky at the back. JB needs time to rebuild us the squad isn't good enough whatever TW wants to tell everyone and we have too many important players out injured. Our strike force has yet again failed to fire there is just no chemistry between JA and BH I'm just shocked Daly isn't getting a run in the side.

Hanlan and Daly is our best partnership with Ayunga interchanging with Hanlan as fitness / injury dictates

7 (seven) points from a possible 33 (thirty three)...I suggest anyone who posts on this forum would do at least as well and I’d be surprised if the majority wouldn’t do better. Sometimes you just have to accept if it has a tail and it barks , it’s a dog. Time to cut our loses and I expect JB to be relieved of his responsibilities before we play another game. This.

No manager can magically turn poor players into good players overnight and many of our current squad will probably never be good enough. Add to that the lengthening list of injurues to key players - Kilgour, Ehmer, Harries, Rodman, Grant, Nicholson - and some poor refereeing decisions and it's little wonder we're struggling. Despite all that we've been dominant or competitive in every game since Barton took charge. Luck has definitely not been on our side. Many fans wanted Paul Cook but his record since taking over a decent Ipswich side is not really any better. Any talk of getting rid of Barton before at least 15 matches into next season is far too premature in my opinion. Cook has won 2 drawn 2 and lost 3...that’s a much better record. Cook has 1.14 ppg versus JB 0.63 ppg But Cook has gone to a side with a bigger budget, squad and in the playoff picture. If he had come here do you think he would have done any better?

Not really sure why you think RD isn't supporting the Gas, then. Surely we all get different stuff that we dislike about it, and different personnel we don't fancy. I didn’t slag off BG I supported him hoping he would come good, now JB has picked up all this mess and I believe he’s got what it takes to turn this club around 🙏 Being a MOD he could be a bit more careful on his personal vendetta against our manager.

We are where we are for a reason, because no manager can get this squad playing. I’m of the firm belief we could have Guardiola and would still be losing games because we can’t find the net, no matter how well we play

Once again individual errors have cost us dearly and once again we were the better side so I don’t think Barton can do much more just like Tisdale before him. We should’ve stuck with Tisdale IMO but that is history, now we should stick with Barton and get behind him. I won’t listen to his interviews from now on tho.

And we’d bring someone else in and it wouldn’t get any better. Our squad is an unbalanced mess of poor players with no leaders in the side and that won’t change just because the manager does.

The mess we are now in lies firmly with the board and Garner, Garners record in the second half of last season was dreadful, in stead of relieving him of his duties he was allowed to rip the heart out of the team in the summer, bringing in players many of which were not good enough at this level, some lacked experience and the few who had league one experience have struggled. We were left with an unbalanced side with not one experienced consistent goal scorer. It is clear to see that what ever manager was brought in they would struggle with this team . Deep down i had a feeling we would go down if Garner was not replaced last summer, the board should have known this and messed up. In the past twenty years when ever we have brought a manager in who has ripped the heart out of the team and brought in a nearly new squad we have struggled, Graydon did it and so did Buckle his cock up led us to eventually going out of the league. Blame does not lie with Barton for our mess, i believe if he can retain out better players and add a bit of quality to the squad we will eventually have success at the club. I would not trust our board to bring in another manager in after the mess they have made so far.

We've had three managers and a temporary manager already this season. Any club that has that many different people in charge will be in serious trouble. Which we are.
Let's give JB the support he needs to change the fortunes of this club. We are going down. Give him the same opportunity Garner had to refashion the squad. I've more confidence in Barton doing a better job although he will be starting off in a lower division next season.

Barton Stays, this is not even up for discussion even if we go down. because we cannot afford any severance pay as there is no money in the kitty It’s been empty years according to you

Yep, there it is - first official thread calling for his head. Terrible appointment - one season wonder. Done nothing but moan and slate everyone. Somehow, against all the odds, has made us worse!!!! Had a week on the training ground this week and he's lowered the standard of the players by another 3 to 4 divisions. Put and end to this madness. BARTON OUT! Edit: Perhaps silly to assume we spent it training actually. Maybe we were watching more YouTube montages or getting psychologists in to... make us worse. Grow up and support the gas ffs. Moderator my ass. So you never wanted Garner or Tisdale out?
