For me Hanlan needs to be on the bench. We’ve played well with 3 behind the striker so maybe a return to 4-2-3-1 Anssi Williams Baldwin Matinez Leahy Upson McCormick Walker Westbrook Tutonda Ayunga Tutonda is not a defender in a back 3. He is perhaps more effective up the pitch buzzing around Ayunga with Walker on the other side. Westbrook needs to be the playmaker and needs to start performing now. Stand up and be counted young man We need to do away with the back 3. Nice tight back 4 God how we miss Rodders and Nicco! Still, time to stop feeling sorry for ourselves and go for it! Come on Rooooooovers! Agreed! Didn't we play this formation at Wombles earlier this season, which was our best performance of the season?

A match we will probably dominate in large spells, but will be unable to score goals. Who is going to gift Donny their winning goals today? My money's on a 40 year old James Coppinger! We actually played alright at Ipswich. If we avoid another disastrous start and nick a goal we might have a chance. Unfortunately we seem to be specialists at ending teams' poor runs!

This is the day it all comes together Doncaster players not recovered from eating too many Easter eggs Ref decides that it’s time we finally let all the decisions go our way after being hypnotised before kick off Dodgy penalty wins it for us in the 108th minute, after 6 re-takes following us missing the first 5 A classic smash and grab 1-0 win with no shots on target, 16 % possession, no corners and 4 disallowed goals for Donny. It really was about time we got some bloody luck, declares a beaming Barton. UTG And then we lose to Northampton. Ain’t that the truth. Win today is needed but even if we do we will need to win at Northampton. Without that a win today wouldn’t mean that much at the end. Most important week of the season. Fingers crossed. UTG!

I say this pretty much every game but I think we’ll sneak something today.... our luck HAS to change at some point surely! Barton has laid into them to take accountability and hopefully the players will realise that unless they do something then they’ll have relegation on their CV... in most games we’ve played pretty well just not scored when on top and then individual mistakes at the back cost us (and don’t get me started on poor refereeing decisions at crucial points of games). That’s what’s cost us this season. Against Ipswich we deserved at least a point and if we can finally get the rub of the green then I think we’ll grab a vital win. It’s not going to be classic but 1-0 or 2-1 to us giving us hope going into Northampton.
Team for me (and I reckon there’ll be some surprises):
3-4-3
Anssi
Little (Williams has been poor the last few games), Baldwin (no other fit CBs around!), Martinez (been impressed by him)
Hare (his crossing and pace), Upson (need a defensive shield), McCormick (automatic starter for me), Leahy (been solid and consistent and vocal)
Walker, Ayunga, Hanlan - these 3 started to seem to gel for periods in the Ipswich game)
Subs: Day, Westbrooke, Ozzy, Daly, Williams, Barrett, Tutonda
Think that gives a balanced starting line up and good coverage and options from the bench .....

Barton already given up and blaming everyone. He can’t motivate these players which is his biggest failure. Donny will end their poor run today cos that’s what we do. Wish JB would just keep quiet and take some responsibility. 0-1 Donny

We can not choose who is Chairman, we can not choose the manager or players but we choose to support Bristol Rovers FC. Watch the game to today, perhaps sit on the settee with your Rovers shirt on, or scarf, or hat or whatever. Shame that someone could not show us watching on the big screen at the Mem. Imagine the boost it would give to everyone. UTG.

Come on gas, cant wait to catch the result later to see another L. Pfft. Completely lost interest in this season now so wont be watching or listening, just get to next season whichever league and get us some experience and some proper balance to get behind. Then again if a vaccine passports are needed, itll be 22/23 for me. Depressing...

Bit of a new look for the team, for me.
............Morpy............ Jax....Spooner....Gusset....Flange ..........Bottom-Bracket.......... Jimjam........Gloaf........Lorcal .......Noop..........Hanlan.......
I feel like if we embrace the sur-reality of the season then we might get a result, or at least a melting giraffe or a wobbly clock.

This one is winnable. I had a dream last night and Rovers won 4-1. Unfortunately the goal scorers were: - Randall Hayles Lambert Cureton I had the same dream - it would have been 7-1 except Jason Roberts, Bannister and Warboys all had goals disallowed!!!! PS: JB had a meltdown at full time because those three disallowed goals meant we were relegated on goal difference - bloody referees!!!!!!

"these 3 started to seem to gel for periods in the Ipswich game"
Thet still didn't manage a decent attempt on target between them for 90 mins?
Surely Barton has to start with Daly or Barrett today and try something different than the usual Ayunga/Hanlan pairing which simply isn't working.

I still believe th lads an Joey can work hard ta get out of this mess, an I think they will.

Please don't bump the post if we lose, though. What on earth gives you the impression I would want to do something silly like that 😜
