I'm never confident against Donny even when we're in good form.
We've won 1 and lost 9 of the last 12 meetings over the past 16 years and some of those defeats were heavy, including our last meeting at the Mem when we lost 4-0.
With a number of first team players probably unavailable (Ehmer, Kilgour, Harries, Rodman, Ogogo, Grant, Nicholson) and Hanlan only 80% fit, I think we could be looking at another heavy defeat today.
Hope I'm wrong.

Donny have won 1 of their last 8 away games scoring less than a goal a game, whereas we've manage to win 3 over the same period, if we suffer an heavy defeat today we really have got serious issues at the club.

Both teams will be low on confidence but they're only 3 points off the play offs which suggests they're a decent team, probably much better than us.
When you factor in our injuries and our record against Donny it's hard to see anything other than an away win in my opinion.
As I said, I've been to every match against Donny home and away over the past 16 years and seen some heavy defeats so it's not a game I ever go into with much confidence.

Think we might scrap a win today but that will only raise hope and prolong the agony.

Win lose or draw the one thing you can guarantee is the Ref will be terrible, I think a draw today that will near enough relegate us

We were also a decent team until Garner took over, lets just hope it's not a milestone game for Coppinger and the players decide they want to put on a show for him!! Accy were also a team we rarely beat but managed a win.

Out walking every day, see loads of pairs of Magpies (for good luck). Today only saw a solitary one - means bad luck. Oh dear...

As a sympathetic Arsenal supporting friend of mine said yesterday: “Don’t give up - you’re gonna have to win a game eventually ... just cos of the law of averages”
I guess that’s how I’m looking at today’s game.

Not quite sure that’s how it works. What we really need is for this blatant conspiracy of referees against us to stop. Joey should head to their changing room, give them a lovely herbal tea and tell them how great they are. Sign a shirt for their kids, slip £100 quid into their top pocket and with a sneaky wink see if that helps.

Win today and I would give us a good chance of staying up. Lose and we are as good as down. It is that important a game today so lets get behind them. Our form and luck have to change sometime and only a quick turnaround starting today can save us. We cannot afford any of the bottom sides to widen that gap today so we have to win.

Win today and it’ll give us a fighting chance, loose and surely thats it. I wouldn’t worry too much about the oppositions form, we have been excellent at helping teams end their bad runs this season!

I say this pretty much every game but I think we’ll sneak something today.... our luck HAS to change at some point surely! Barton has laid into them to take accountability and hopefully the players will realise that unless they do something then they’ll have relegation on their CV... in most games we’ve played pretty well just not scored when on top and then individual mistakes at the back cost us (and don’t get me started on poor refereeing decisions at crucial points of games). That’s what’s cost us this season. Against Ipswich we deserved at least a point and if we can finally get the rub of the green then I think we’ll grab a vital win. It’s not going to be classic but 1-0 or 2-1 to us giving us hope going into Northampton. Team for me (and I reckon there’ll be some surprises): 3-4-3 Anssi Little (Williams has been poor the last few games), Baldwin (no other fit CBs around!), Martinez (been impressed by him) Hare (his crossing and pace), Upson (need a defensive shield), McCormick (automatic starter for me), Leahy (been solid and consistent and vocal) Walker, Ayunga, Hanlan - these 3 started to seem to gel for periods in the Ipswich game) Subs: Day, Westbrooke, Ozzy, Daly, Williams, Barrett, Tutonda Think that gives a balanced starting line up and good coverage and options from the bench ..... Hare has pace? Every time I’ve seen him he looks like he’s wearing lead boots. Is there a slower player in the current squad? (Edit - no tortoise jokes!)

I don’t blame Barton’s latest rant it is about time these players gave us a performance we gasheads are proud of

I just feel he’s a more mobile wing back than Mark Little or George Williams who both I think are good RBs or RCBs but not wing backs... Hare I think is like Leahy in that is probably stronger offensively than defensively...
