Well boys, girls, those who haven't decided and Bolders, I think everyone's right and this is do, or die, day! Unfortunately, we haven't won on the road since 5th December and my head says that we still won't by 5:00 today. Best the head expects is a 1-1 draw. However, heart says we'll scrape a 2-1 win and move above Northampton and hope says that all around us will lose again so they have to 'use up' their game advantage on us to catch up. I'll have everything crossed and be taking pain relieving liquids most of the match! UTG

I’ve been feeling a bit anxious this week , but my Doctor assures me we are coming home with the points.

Northampton's recent home form suggests this is going to be another tough test.
Northampton 1-0 Shrewsbury Northampton 1-0 Oxford Northampton 0-1 Crewe Northampton 4-1 Portsmouth Northampton 2-0 Plymouth Northampton 0-0 Rochdale
So they've only lost 1 of their last 6 at home, only conceded 2 goals in those 6 games and have beat Shrewsbury, Oxford, Portsmouth and Plymouth.
13 points from 18 at home is as good as nearly any team in L1 over that period.
It's also concerning to hear their biggest strength is our biggest weakness, set pieces.
Given their home record I'd probably take a point and hope we can pick up 7 points from our 3 home games.

So just to keep our stats fans happy, (and Garner fans) how many ppg's is that?? They've achieved 2.17 PPG over their last 6 home games.
However, they've actually achived an even better 2.40 PPG over their past 5 home games, winning 4 of the 5 games.
Their home record recently is as good as anyone in L1.
Factor in our away form - 2 draws in 12 games - where we've achieved 0.17 PPG and you'd have to say the odds are against us. Maybe even more so when you consider how many goals they score from set pieces which has been one of our biggest downfalls all season.

It will be a tough game. We will have to provoke our luck.

A defeat makes catching Northampton unlikely for Rovers. So its down to 4 from 5 teams. It is an away game though and its likely to be the home game results that keep Rovers up.
A draw means we are still 2 points behind them and so still can catch them. It also uses up one of their remaining home games . It uses up an away game for rovers and brings home a point which is a bonus based on this seasons results.
A win puts Rovers in a much stronger position but by no means safe . It does bring home 3 points from an away game though which has been rare. It also uses up an away game .

Wow I didn’t realise they had such good form! Our record against the bottom 5 is awful too, 2/9 wins I think? We have a good record against Northampton though. All I ask is that we give it our all. I don’t mind losing, but it’s the way in which we’ve lost some games recently that rubs me up the wrong way.

Absolutely bricking it for this one. However I’ve got a feeling it’ll be a scrappy 0-0 Been nervous thinking about this one all week. I’m going out to watch a parks game this afternoon as just can’t watch Rovers on an iPad in such a tense game. Absolute must win IMO. Praying I log back on here later today to find everyone buzzing and full of renewed optimism. UTG.

Best of luck today in a massive game , If results go for you as well as last week it will be another brilliant weekend for you but the important thing is winning your game. I was at Goodison in 1966 when we beat them 5-2 and they wernt very good so I am sure you will come out on top today.

First goal is very important today, as is staying at least level at half time. We seem to lack goals in the second half for some reason.

I'm hoping JB sticks with the same Team that played Monday.
The only change I possibly would make is bringing Little into the side for set-peices
