You mean, we’re interested in a player that would probably mean having to break the Andy Tilson Transfer Record?!? Loan deal.

Shame he had to take time out of football due to mental health issues. I hope he’s come out of the other side better and stronger for it. Perhaps we’re linked because he fancies a move closer to home for a while. He’d be too good for us IMO. Could easily play in league 1.

Spoke to my old boss who knew him when he played at Chippenham, said “ Decent player but not got a great attitude, He actually struggled last year and went into rehab for something” But I saw him play vs us when at Cov and thought he was good so you never know

I know we’ve been mainly focusing on free agents but I have a feeling that after the scoring challenges we had last season and with the potential of a cash injection if JCH gets sold that we might pay a fee for an established striker.... won’t be anything ridiculous but could see us paying up to £100k - £150k (Max) for someone.... with that in mind is there any strikers we’d recommend? Of the free agents in this country there isn’t many that would fill me with much confidence - possibly Conor McAleny but he’s gone off the boil in recent seasons if I remember right? Any realistic suggestions out there? If you call 17 goals in 40 appearances last season off the boil, then yes he has True was thinking more prior to last season where it was a lower ratio and didn’t actually realise he’d scored as many as he had last season....

So, missed it early on but a re-read of the Bristol Live...
Northampton star available on a free
Ryan Watson was the shining light of a Northampton Town side that were immediately relegated back to League Two last season, with the free-scoring midfielder hitting the back of the net nine times in all competitions.
But contract talks have come to an end with the player refusing the Cobblers' offer and he will be playing for a new club next season.
"Ryan has done well for the club and we wish him every success in the next stage of his career," manager Jon Brady told the Northampton Chronicle.
Rovers boss Joey Barton is looking for a number eight as a priority in the transfer market this summer, but Bristol Live Watson is not a player currently under consideration for the Gas. Watson is likely to have League One interest.
Does that mean anything do you think in terms of players going out... I know Westbrooke wears the 8 shirt and plays CM/CAM Roles - could we be looking to replace?

Anyone pick up on the fact that Stendel’s AS Nancy also want Luke Thomas? Anything in that, or just a coincidence?

Yeah he has never been prolific but if you count his cup goals he has pretty much got a goal every 2 games for Oldham. Another that might be looking at L1 though

Does make you wonder how Frosty knows we're very keen if we've not even made contact?? From the horses mouth perhaps?
