Down with hardly a whimper. So very sad. Thank you BG and TW, the pair of you carry the main responsibility for this debacle of a season. How on earth JB can be blamed for this is beyond me. Anyone who watched that toothless display will surely agree. Roll on next season with hopefully JB in charge. UTG! been saying this all along, not Bartons fault, Garner and Widdrington

It's almost a relief that it's over. Waiting for an outcome that we all knew was inevitable was worse.

Right, time to sit in the garden with a cider and forget football exists.

Its not just Hanlan is it ?. What have Daly done scored a header late last summer and Rodman I think scored once all season. Ayunga is no better than a national division players . And Otz loaning side on big wages been wasteful. It be easier to ask who is worth a starting place . Nichs Annsi leahy and MC. That's 4 out of 34... Dalys just a clone of Reilly, runs around a lot but achieves f**k all! I would agree with your last sentence,4 out of 34, the rest a total waste of a shirt.

How on earth JB can be blamed for this is beyond me.
These two comments seem to be at odds with one another.
Barton has had more than long enough for us to be able to see even signs of progress, organisation, his style of play... anything. Find it hard to see how anyone can clear him of all blame.

We are the worst team in L1 but having watched every game this season only Hull and Peterborough have really stood out.
Very poor quality division and we finished bottom ...
Martin Starnes you are accountable ... if you had any common decency you would walk and take Widdrington with you.
Plenty of bluster and bravado - no class or awareness of what you have done.
Total gross negligence of duty ...

How many 3rd managers do you know who have turned a side around without a window?

After his last 2 interviews, not even Barton himself thinks he's blameless, yet still some of our fans won't have it? He's more blameless than the others I would say, but not completely blameless at all. He most definitely should have gotten considerably more out of the players than he has.

UTG! been saying this all along, not Bartons fault, Garner and Widdrington The problem we have now is a Gardening leave/fidd attitude in the squad . The two put together this squad on there joint vision. Any new players will be consumed by this culture. Unless these players find other clubs . We are stuck with them for up to 2 years. So Barton could sign a few good players only to be taken over by the negative culture. I'm sorry but no team can lose 11 out of 14 away and not win a single game and say they are trying..

Oz looked happy enough - laughing with one of the Cowleys as he walked off the pitch.

Lots of long aimless balls again im afraid (I'm not saying you but) A lot of people wanted that, they hated that Garner tried to get us passing the ball around on the floor, and long for the GC days of hoofing it towards a forward.

Can’t be bothered to read the thread but no doubt the inteligencia are excitedly slagging off our strikers again with no mention of the pathetic service up to them. Do we coach the defence to just kick the ball as high and far as they can?
When we played to our strikers strengths they actually scored a few goals.

Didn’t watch today, but listened on RB Really hard to believe how bad this team is, worse I have seen for 40 years, think Wael will have to pay Hanlon off , can’t have too many losers about next year , need winners who hate not scoring in any game, btw Jonno just scored again

I like the passing game if its purposeful. The trouble is our players aren't good enough and when they try to knock it around they end up going backwards, losing possession or lumping it forward to nobody in particular. IMO a decent side can mix it up and play to their strengths. What good does smashing high balls to Hanlan and Daly when they are marked by a 6ft 4 CB? I notice we never seem to have any space in the final 3rd yet repeatedly give that to the opposition. So many things wrong.
