Fans of Prem clubs are saying this money should be given to clubs further down the pyramid so how about the Football League asking the Prem for this money?
There could be an additional £40m should Bournemouth be promoted too.

Sickening the prem clubs get it.
If that can’t or won’t be changed, how about they pay back their furlough payments instead?

Ah yes, because the Premier League clubs really need that extra £4.15M each.

£83m divided by 72 EFL clubs works out at £1.15 million per club, £1.7 million if just divided between League One and Two clubs. Think of what a boost that would be to clubs that have had their revenues greatly diminished but have had to maintain their wage budgets all year to keep employing staff and be competitive in the league.
Once again football has it’s priorities wrong sadly.

Just goes to show that the premiership does not give one toss about Lower league football. I honestly think that if they had any input into that super league bollocks they would have gone ahead and supported it Really sick to death of the amounts of money in football these days #AMF

Well it just isn’t going to happen. Not unless it’s made law and they have to. The whole super league fiasco made me smile in many ways because although it was obviously bad for football in many ways it was nice seeing the Premier league , sky sports and their pundits squirm at the thought of Karma coming back to crush them. Basically it was nothing new it’s just that the animal at the top of the food chain was possibly going to get eaten by a new animal.

Exactly socrates! The clubs who devised the PL were happy to organise the funding so that the majority went to the PL and the FL now the EFL were cut adrift to do their own deals which of course were nowhere near the deals the PL were able to do. The PL was devised because of the greed of the “big” clubs at the time. Last week they were moaning about being cut adrift by the 6 super League teams, in other words greed was outdone by super greed. I’m glad it’s not going ahead but the irony and hypocrisy of the whole issue just staggers me. To hear Gary Neville, the owner of Salford, talk about it being about money just about took the biscuit. And then we heard Lineker and Shearer on MOTD say it’s against the football family and is all about greed. These people must think we’re stupid if they think we can’t see the double-standards these PL torch bearers have about football. Greed in football? I’m afraid that horse bolted in 1992 with the PL. I dont know which is worse, the 6 superleague teams or the PL complaining about being on the outside of it. Pure BS!

And you can be sure that if Sky, BT etc had been in on it the likes of Neville and Carragher etc would have been talking about how this is the path football needs to go down. Thing is I just can’t get my head around how the owners of the clubs involved thought that they could pull this off without having mainstream media onside from the offset.

I actually hope a high profile prem club goes bust one day, the pure greed involved at the top level of the game is sickening.

They shouldn't pay parachute payments anyway! Why pay money for failure? Its insanity but that sums up the Premier League anyway. Football generally has been on a downward trend since the Premier League was formed and VAR sums up that trend as it seems to do everything it can to get goals disallowed. All that was needed was goalline technology in ALL clubs and that was it. Ok referees are sh** but i'd rather put up with them than wait for two minutes to see if a goal is allowed or disallowed or to be up the other end of the pitch and then find out you have conceded a penalty a minute ago! Offside should be a definite gap between the players and if its felt it needed to go to VAR then it should be a goal anyway!
