Anyone remember this guy? Was being looked at by the biggest clubs in the country, made a few fairly average appearances for us, got let go for alleged disciplinary issues, randomly ended up in the poo's development squad, but not sure what happened next.
Is he playing non league football anywhere?

Playing in the Gloucestershire County League the last I heard. One potentially for us to bring in on trial if his discipline has improved?

My son played with him when he was at Henbury OB along with Alefe Santos - both had great promise as lads but never really fulfilled their potential

I was surprised when Alefe went pro, as he was good but personally didn’t think he was that good. Shaq, well we all know the potential was there, sadly never fulfilled.

Yes you would have - my son was Jordan Hawkins and he played for Brislington beforehand so probably played him there as well. I remember one game where Henbury thrashed Briz 6-0 I believe where Shaq and Alefe destroyed us as were unplayable. Like you I didn’t think Alefe would get any offers to go pro. Who would be a scout !! Trevor Richards hasnt changed - I’m very good frtiemds of the Tarr family and Jason Tarr was Trevor’s assistant. Tony was a great player if he didnt want to fight everyone lol

Alefe Santos recently left Gloucester City to sign for Tiverton Town. Is Hunter still playing?

I played in the same age group and remember hearing of Alefe joining Henbury, never quite got the better of me though! The team I played for had quite the little rivalry with Henbury for a few years before folding.

Shaq went to University, gained an MBA, and appears to be doing very well as CEO of Rum Shack.

Our former player was playing for Henbury in Gloucestershire County League last season. Are you sure as they both seem to be the same age and from Birmingham. Wiki also has them as the same person although I appreciate how reliable a source that isn't?

Anyone know what happened to Lamar Powell? Remember him getting minutes against Southampton years ago and being watched by the big fish.

Dropped into non-league following his release and briefly turned out for Paulton, Taunton, Frome, Weston, Weymouth and Bath. Haven't seen anything of him playing for years and not sure if he still does.

Younger fans can still be proper Gasheads without remembering this. They should however have read enough of our Wikipedia to at least recognise the name. Although many of our own fans don’t recognise anyone unless they’ve worshipped at the altar of the church of David Williamsology.

I think Tom White became an Estate Agent and Martin Paul played semi pro for a while, including Bath City I believe. Lee Zabek’s career ended early with a knee injury but he’s still local, I think his younger brother (Zac?) was also on Rovers books. Add to those Jon French and Matt Hayfield who I also played against in junior football as well as Paul Tovey a couple of years earlier. A few others from the same age groups went to City like Paul Milsom, Rob Skidmore, Jason Fowler and Matt Hewlett. Edit: Last I heard of Hayfield he was working as a physiotherapist in Iceland.
