I could say plenty about our ex destroyer in chief but there’s no point. It’s all been said. What I will say though is that there must be at least 50 ex managers/coach’s wondering how the f**k has he bullsh*tted his way into another job. This kid’s networking skills are second to none.

Well he has a great cv with only one blemish on it. It's a pretty big blemish though.

He takes us from 4th in the table to 4th bottom in the space of a year. He must certainly have something about him to do that especially when getting backed to the hilt to bring in his players and getting rid of the experienced ones that had served us so well. In fact if someone came in with the express intention to destroy Bristol Rovers they could hardly have done a better job. Yet we have fans wishing him the best and hoping he does well because he seemed like a nice guy! It’s no wonder we are a hopeless cause playing in a sh** stadium bumming around in the bottom league and left well behind by all of our previous equals like Cardiff, Swansea, Reading, Bournemouth and Brentford is it when our fans are so benign about failure and so accepting of the people that are the architects of that failure. I know this will not be popular but our president gave him the instructions to do this plus TW would have had a major role in this. The plan was to lower the wages so the older and better paid were sent packing and we bought in inexperience and paid the price. This was, in no way, all Garners fault Another POV is that we were in a false position when in 4th but that is just my opinion. I saw us as lower mid table but others will have other views. I just very much doubt BG got rid of the players he did, of his own volition. It was a total balls up and we can see how it ended up. That’s fair enough KP, there were other key actors that contributed to the shambles and the president is obviously the most key of all because it was his decision to employ Garner and his decision to try and turn us into Chelsea U23s. That said it still would have taken a monumental f**k up of a manager to cause us to descend down the league so fast, let’s not forget that Garner couldn’t get a win with the very capable squad he inherited who had previously developed a winning mentality for ages. Had it not been for the season being suspended in March there’s a very real chance we’d have had a dabble at getting relegated that season which would have been remarkable considering we were 4th with half the season played! Garner clearly made lots of bad calls, lots of mistakes, and yet according to him every defeat was always someone else’s or something else’s fault, usually the officials, sometimes the weather, or fixture schedules but never him. The man was utterly deluded as well as being completely useless at the job he was brought in to do. Same might soon be said for Barton too mind!

Didn’t realise BG has shaved his hair off and grown a beard… looks different! I worry this BG might be serious 🧐

The last manager to take the Swindon job who tried to get them playing a so called 'tippy, tappy' style was one 'Glen Hoddle' i believe and i seem to remember it being very successful? the only difference twixt BG and Glen is well, Glen was one of the finest of his generation, in fact any generation, and BG ,well, wasn't!

Fair play to BG, sacked by Rovers, out of a job for eight months or so and immediately announces he is a far better coach now then when he was with us. Sounds like a kick about on the lawn at home with his kids has worked wonders for his coaching skills.

How do we know that any of them were interested in the job? My Swindon buddy said they were expecting Harry Kewell the day before BG was appointed. Talking off the top of my head, hasn't Swindon been the graveyard of a lot of managers? Macari, Ardiles, McMahon, unless my memory memory is worse than I thought.

Still haven't paid their creditors yet or fully paid the players wages from june. Still have a transfer embargo on them and cant see how garner can prepare a team to start the season in any state of readiness.only the desperate would have accepted the managers role at this club

Swindon played Melksham in their first friendly and they drew 0-0. They played most of their academey team and in charge was Steve Mildenhall
