Wife beater barton i was starting to give him the benefit of the doubt. Not now this is to much. What next blokes a time bomb can’t see why anyone can’t see it. I used to be proud of are club. The people running it and some of the fans need to take a long hard look. Get some fing morals At the moment, should we not be wary of putting the w/b label on here alongside his name? Of course we should Tilly, but unfortunately some Barton haters can't resist doing it and then have the cheek to tell some fans "to get some Dam morals".

There's no way the club didn't know about this before it hit the press. Most likely they were banking on it getting thrown out and they could keep it all quiet. Then joining a domestic violence campaign 2 weeks ago once it was clear it would come out to try and put the club in a better light What makes you so convinced the club knew about it weeks ago? I’m fairly sure Barton wouldn’t have said anything until the point he was informed the CPS were proceeding Probably late last week) in the hope that it would be dropped. Do you think the police would have informed BRFC at the point he was first arrested or something?

It's what happens in football - it won't be JB's first experience of abuse. Sadly, I remember our own fans chanting "paedo" at an ex-Gas, diminutive striker when he was playing against us for Reading.

Grow up - he never got an easy ride when he came to The Mem with Fleetwood, probably water off a duck's back.

Not a reason for our fans to do it though. I will have no argument with those that say it if he is found guilty of the offence. However I don't expect that those who do will retract what they have said even if he is acquitted.

A long list of assaults, publicly destroying our players only a few months ago, calling referees fat.... I stand by my comment. And that's all before bringing up he stands accused of battering his wife. Utter filth. Always has been, always will be. No need to grow up, his rap sheet proves that point.

I was referring to your stupid quip that it might be the first time he will have received abuse.

Tbf Northampton fans chanting wife beating at him is probably nothing compared to United away for him.

Thing is it isn't going away. Innocent or not, if he takes to the dugout for us, he is going to get pelters more than ever from opposition fans and even some of our own if things start badly Start badly lol. He's already got the worst managerial record in our history 😂 [b Is this not the crux of the matter, if Mr Barton had gained three points every Saturday, views would be more tempered.

Do you think the police would have informed BRFC at the point he was first arrested or something? Then again Barton could have kept the club fully informed considering that Mrs B wasn't accusing him of anything. Wael's letter is so vague you can't be certain the club didn't know, they might have even not told Wael if they did know.
