With Whelan/Clarke should we only only give contracts till January? As they are free agents, do we have to sign them today? I assume the players themselves will want their futures sorted one way or the other today, even if we could keep them waiting a bit longer? Plus if we can't move on the likes of Westbrook they may still take their place in the playing squad. |

We will be lucky to get more than one in the door, other than the two free ageing free agents that have been training with us. They aren't the future and would only be a stop gap for a few months or this season tops. We are in a complete mess and unless something drastic happens today, have failed to resolve the striker issue yet again. If we don't we are in real trouble. How do you know we're in a complete mess, because someone posted we are on social media? |

Is we’re signing Evans as a CAM. Why not just play Westbrooke consistently in his actual position for once and then make a judgement on him.
The bloke has hardly played CAM in all the time he’s been here.

How can we play Westbrook at CAM when he can't tackle, even with Finley and Grant/Coutts in midfield we still struggle with possession. |

Edit: That being said this only helps if Westbrooke goes... bit of a nightmare if that doesn't happen and we pay him for nowt. |

We can just not name a few player’s until after. Take it we can still loan players out, to non league clubs after. Like we did with Ogogo last season. So if we have potential signings to make, after 11pm, we will just leave room for them. |

Whelan I can understand, but surely we arent going to sign Leon Clarke? As someone else said, short term deals only should be offered and LC maybe only paid per goal!
Feel we are going to be stuck with at least one of Barret and Westbrook. I'd still have the latter in the squad but appreciate we want his wages off the bill. Who is going to take a perma-injured Barrett tho??

We're only 5 games in, but do you reckon this has an impact like it would in the January market?

That's really only going to apply to Hargreaves, I can't see Westbrooke or Harries agreeing to drop down to non league football at this stage of their careers. |

We're only 5 games in, but do you reckon this has an impact like it would in the January market? probably more so in jan.if you look at Sheffield utd where they are in the table most players would still pick them first in the championship to play for with the wages they would offer |
