Let's be honest if they are the only 3 signings today then we may as well have not bothered.I can't see those 3 boosting the attendance on Saturday, not that any of us have tickets to get in anyway.

We will be lucky to get more than one in the door, other than the two free ageing free agents that have been training with us. They aren't the future and would only be a stop gap for a few months or this season tops. We are in a complete mess and unless something drastic happens today, have failed to resolve the striker issue yet again. If we don't we are in real trouble. How do you know we're in a complete mess, because someone posted we are on social media? No, more the results since Dec 2019 and the lack of strikers during that period. Obviously you have not noticed. |

His last stint at Shrewsbury is really the only time he hasn't scored goals. Before that he's actually been quite prolific, scoring double figures in League Two, League One and the Championship. Obviously we're not getting him in his prime, but it's a bit unfair just to write him off. Get him fit and there could still be a player there. |

So as things stand - Possibles are two ageing guys who have been on trial for two weeks - Free
Two Free agents - Neither game changers - Free
One mystery striker - maybe from Villa on loan as a Thank you for taking our young Academy Lad
Not sure where the excitement is or the statement of intent from our Board ! Only the loanee needs to be announced today of course so starting to become less and less interested in this pantomime.

I question the logic behind it too, certainly Pitman and Clarke wouldn't strike me as a very dynamic pair. Great ten years ago mind you. Was just saying don't write off Clarke just yet, as he could prove to be a handy forward. |
