Since most of the players linked with us are out of contract, they can sign after the deadline, so I don't suppose it matters if we don't sign them before 11pm. True, but it leaves the gate open for other clubs. Yep. If JB wants them, why wait and run the risk of other clubs sniffing around? My guess is JB has his sights on others who have clubs and therefore need to get it done before the deadline and if it fails, these out of contract players are JB's plan B players. |

Joey ‘I want 5 players’… perhaps he should’ve kept his mouth shut. Why, when he's now got a ready made excuse if we continue to struggle for goals? Although not sure recruitment under Barton/Jennings is an improvement on Widdrington's. |

Tbf BP is proven but shame he's on a reverse lambert, as in was good now fat rather than was fat and now good. Lol

Alex Gilbert another promising addition for Swindon. Scored 10 goals in 22 matches for the Brentford B Team last season and the attacking midfielder spent much of the second half of the campaign around the First Team being named in the matchday squad for nine Championship games.

Sutton United have re-signed Millwall striker Isaac Olaofe on a season-long loan deal. Interesting to see how he gets on at this level after scoring 14 goals in 37 National League apps to help them win the title.
