At home drowning my sorrows. Before I get too depressed, here are the scores from the Highbridge jury:
Spiess 4 - One very good save and quick distribution. But at fault for the first goal and could have done better perhaps with the 2nd.
Leadbitter 4 - good pace but final ball very poor. Tackling weak on occasions. Gave away 2nd goal. Trotman 4 - Not as commanding as usual but won his share of headers. Parkes 3 - Long ball passing abysmal today. Didn't seem interested. Brown 4 - Solid performance but nothing like the quality we are used to.
Balanta 2 - Dreadful game. Finishing poor and passing wayward. Clarke 1 - The worst game I haver ever seen him play. Sinclair 5 - Never gave up and he expressed his frustration many times. The ineptitude of his team mates got to him I think. Martin 1 - Didn't do a lot right today and must be on his way back to Luton
Taylor 4 - Caused the defence problems, good pace but final product poor. Blissett 4 - Did well before his injury and not at his best.
Subs: Wall 2 - Didn't seem interested and played far too deep when we needed an old fashioned centre forward in the box. Gosling 2 - Didn't see him do anything of note Goldberg 2 - Asper Gosling
DC 4 - Got team selection wrong today and couldn't motivate the team for some reason. Ref 5 - Not too bad, seen far worse Bath 8 - Really up for it, their forwards (7 and 9) caused us problems all afternoon. Impressed with their fans who outsung us all afternoon. The "Blackthorn" quiet as a library and not one version of "Goodnight Irene" heard at all.

"Taylor caused Bath's defence problems" is that meant as a joke, given we didn't managed a decent shot on target?

Seems very much like a game to try and forget. Poor crowd, poor atmosphere, very poor performance. Has all the ingrediants of a pre season local derby but this was an official game so it will be hard to forget. I for one thought we were going to turn up and score a few yesterday. How wrong can you be!!

No comments to add against each player as the scores say it all and the extent of our dreadful performance has been well covered elsewhere.

Spiess 4 Felt he could have done slightly better on both goals, though I'm not sure how much blame to attribute to him.
Leadbitter 3.5 Bad backpass for the second goal. Has pace on the ball down the wing but needed to take his man on more. Always looked for the ball back inside, but I felt he should have got to the byline more often. Trotman 5.5 Solid enough Parkes 6 Had a couple of dodgy moments but looked to put a foot on the ball and take a touch unlike most of the others. Brown 5 A below par performance from him but nothing too wrong. A lot of our play in the first half went through him.
Balanta 2.5 I didn't see anything from him and he clearly struggled more as the game went on. Spent the last 10 minutes limping around looking sad for himself. Clarke 3 Didn't seem up for the game and was bossed around by the big no. 6 of Bath. Showed that he can't play with Sinclair without Mansell to conduct play. Sinclair 4.5 Scrapped a lot and worth a 10 for effort as the rest of the game petered out but offered no real quality or time on the ball. Martin 2 A shadow of the player I last saw in September.
Taylor 5 Fed on scraps but put himself about physically. I've read a lot on this forum about his striking deficiencies but he got given nothing yesterday. Blissett 3.5 Given as much as Taylor but won less despite his physical advantage.
Subs: Wall 3 He may have a good shot and be big, but I saw nothing of much technical ability. Gosling 4.5 Added a bit of zip but not enough to effect the game. Goldberg 4 Half the team had given up by the time he came on so all he did was try to close down the Bath defence on his own.
DC 6 The team he put out should have won the game for him. He tried 4-4-2, 4-3-3 and then 3-5-2 to try to find a way to energise the play. The players let him down with the perceived lack of effort. You could also blame this on Clarke but on the day, he can't take too much blame. Ref 7 Linesman next to the dugouts wasn't great, but the ref didn't to much I disagreed with. Bath 6 A solid team who were hungry for every ball especially the no. 9 up front who chased everything. Looked better than a few other teams we've played this season.

Spiess 4 Leadbitter 4 Trotman 3 - Worst game for him Parkes 4 - Hoof Brown 4 Balanta 2 - Rubbish Clarke 1 - Woeful is being kind Sinclair 6 Martin 3 Taylor 3 Blissett 4 Subs: Wall 4 Gosling 4 Goldberg 2 DC 4 Ref 3 - Usual inconsistent rubbish Bath - 7 Effective but we massively played into their hands. As we've seen in the League teams at this level will mop.up long balls all day but when we play football they can't compete. Sadly, no one worked that out on Saturday.

So I've averaged the player ratings from what was the worst performance of the season according to these threads. The starting XI averaged 3.7. which was the lowest score of the season. (3.8 at Altrincham and 3.9 at Braintree were the previous worst.)
In contrast, Bath's performance was rated as one of the top this season and the best team to visit the Mem, with a score of 7.8. Only away to Barnet (8.5) did we face a tougher opponent according to this forum.
Ollie Clarke came close to recording the worst score of the season. His score of 1.71 was only better than McChrystal's and Parkes' scores at Altrincham of 1.67 each.
Stuart Sinclair got Man of the Match with the lowest winning score of the season, 5.2. Taylor at Barnet (6.0) had been the worst MotM up until Saturday.
Spiess 4.1
Leadbitter 3.6 Trotman 4.4 Parkes 4.5 Brown 4.1
Balanta 2.9 Clarke 1.7 Sinclair 5.2 Martin 2.3
Taylor 3.9 Blissett 3.6
Subs: Wall 2.7 Gosling 2.6 Goldberg 2.3
DC 4.4 Ref 5.7 Bath 7.8
