He's obviously being serious. It doesn't exist. The same could be said about some posters on here, they only exist when the good times are here and abandon the club when they are notΒ " Your Club needs you ! " to coin a famous phrase !Β When the good times are here ππππ Yeh, bunch of glory supporters, the lot of us.

Having slept on this, I think that wael was obviously taken in with Joey's passion about football and persuaded him to come after joey initially refused to take the job.
Having given him remit to completely run the playing side, recruitment and staff with project reset it has failed.
Is he thinking it's going to come good, as I see no shoots of hope, we could have conceded 5 or 6 yesterday which was amazing as Ben's team he assembled here created very little.
When kevin Bond rocked up I thought we would go more organised basic 4 4 2 aka Harry Redknapp style.
We are disorganised and lack pace in midfield and upfront, its shambolic and very disappointing.
Flynn until the end of the season for me and see how he does, luckily a lot of the players are on 1 year deals.

One or two have argued the "age" thing is not accurate when you look at the signings as a whole, or the average age of the squad. The problem is that - where we do have "older" players - they tend to come in clumps. I.e. if we started our two main strikers, our forward line would have a combined age of 69. There is very little pace in the side - the only "pacey" players we do have tend to be the ones with the worst injury records, meaning that when those players are inevitably injured, there is no pace left in the side. What's more, the "key" players - i.e. the most "talented" ones are the ones with the worst injury records. Joey seems to have looked at the "balance of the squad" based on how many players he has in each position. But it's so much more than that - it's balancing the attributes within those positions. And the reality is, almost every position bar goalkeeper is clearly woefully unbalanced. We will not get promoted this season, that much is obvious. With Joey in charge, I do not see how we will escape certain relegation. With a mediocre/semi-competent manager you never know.

This is exactly right and failure to do so is almost always the reason a club ceases to exist - Bury, Darlington, Chester and so many more - the similarities in those stories are all so striking: an owner trying to buy success up the pyramid instead of nurturing and stabilising what they have. I would recommend everyone listen to the podcast Out of Our League available on BBC Sounds and Spotify about the collapse of Bury. Those are 3 small town northern clubs (who all had "dodgy" owners?) what about the likes of Brighton, Cardiff, Reading and City who seem to be doing OK with wealthy law abiding benefactors? Although didn't we try cutting the wage bill and developing youth last season, which ended in relegation. Reynolds was only dodgy in that he was convicted of money laundering later on. That had nothing to do with his time at Darlington. The problem at Darlington was it was run like his own vanity project. Splashing money he would run out of. Ditto Bury - Stewart Day ran it like he was trying to buy his way up the leagues nothing dodgy about him. Steve Dale, while seemingly a dick, was not dodgy. And what was dodgy at Chester? It was pretty much a carbon copy. Wage bill too high, tax unpaid to HMRC failed rescue package and administration. It helps if you know what you're talking about before you disagree with stuff.

Has he gone yet?
What I find amazing is how heβs managed to assemble an even worse forward line than last season!! Itβs almost as if heβs trying to destroy us!
In his clamour to remove Garners players (as if to prove something) he subsequently replaced them with either aging unfit ones, or players like Saunders and Collins who will never be out and out number 9βs
And we have this until at least January!!
Iβd be happier to see our development players in there, surely Phillips could at least run if paired with Pitman
There is no spark in his team. No pace, no flair, no nothing.
Sad thing is, if he had half a football brain he would have realised keeping Hanlan and Ayunga would have been a good idea.

Playing 2 deep central midfield players and a less mobile front man is making life easy for them. A luke McCormick type was needed yesterday to chase and close down their defenders. You notice how when we played from the back their strikers closed down quick and their midfield 3 stepped up the pitch creating pressure on our player on the ball. Yesterdays result was a tactical rovers failure ,a player choice failure and a combination of bad luck (1st and 2nd goals) and poor concentration (3rd goal). Swindon are predictable and lack goal scoring ability. I previously had thought they will finish 16th to 18th in the table. After yesterdays boost they might just finish 10th to 12th.

Just when you think it can't get any worse, Wael get your head out of your ass and fire him now. The anger that is being directed against JB will soon be directed against our hapless and delusional president. I think tonight is the lowest I have felt in my 50+ years of following Rovers and that includes relegation to the conference, why can us supporters see that JB is a total fraud with no idea how to arrest our fall. He has put together the worst squad of players I can remember, no pace, no flair, no ability to think for themselves and sadly it appears no great belief in themselves. I think the last substitution summed up Barton's ineptitude, ffs Westbrook. Really mate? Have a word with yourself in the morning ππ½

Or perhaps Wael knowing the full scale of the issues Barton's inherited and also how much he has invested himself in the reset project, doesn't feel now is the right time, 3 months away from the transfer window reopening is the right time to change manager yet again. Whatever decision he makes isn't going to change the fact our only experienced striker appears totally unfit. What is the full scale of the issues that are now known about (to a select few) but were mysteriously hidden during DC's and GC's tenure? They've got rid of most of the personnel. They actually run the club. What are all these things that need doing that can't be done yet? There's only a finite process between coming in on a Monday morning for training and walking out on a Saturday afternoon for a match. All this cancer and negligence and issues and 'telling it like it is' and what have you is bullshit. It's a vague, non-committal, smokescreen said by people who can't defend their own ineptitude. They're taking us for a ride and after every failure, every disappointment, every pathetic non-performance like yesterday's, someone can't wait to make some empty comment about some ineffable issue that can't possibly be addressed yet for unfathomable reasons that no one can go into coz it's such a deep secret it's beyond the understanding of anyone who isn't an insider. It's like a mystery cult, and anyone who isn't anointed can't possibly have an opinion because they haven't been exposed to the secrets of how the universe actually functions. It's a football club, not a wizard's laboratory.

I think he has one more game. Passion will only get you so far. Perhaps the higher uppers in the club are getting taken in by his prem level as a player. But now for me (as a Barton optimist), enough is enough.
We need to get someone in now and give them chance to assess squad prior to January

We have views that differ and I will stick to mine even if you feel the need to try and make us look stupid and you look the one who knows best. Sir I bow to your superior knowledge.

Don't think it's spoken about enough that the talent pool available to us should we dismiss Barton is incredibly limited.
A replacement would quite possibly rely on a headhunt of a manager already in a role and whoever actively applies for this job will have totally taken leave of their senses and not fit to manage anyway.

Have a word with yourself in the morning ππ½ After a bad nights sleep I must admit that everything I said last night I still have the same feelings this morning. Relegation to the conference was soul destroying but my feelings then were mostly that we were unlucky to go down and I was just gutted. This situation is different, this squad of players is imo the worst I have ever seen assembled by Rovers. If JB stays much longer we will soon be bottom of the league, if he goes there is a chance that a new manager may be able to cobble together a few results to keep us in touch with the rest of the relegation candidates and then in January maybe try and sign an effing striker. So I have had a think about yesterday and if anything I am even more angry and frustrated than I was at 17.00 hrs yesterday. UTG
