Wael may be the thinking....No, no. You're the one promising me and the fans promotion, slagging off the recruitment, given permission to fully build a new team in your image. You don't get to just walk away! If you return all the wages I have paid you, I might think about it. You can carry on walking past the Blackthorn End, if that doesn't focus your mind, nothing will.

I don't know why you all don't just go down the pub together....
You'll probably all get on fine and enjoy yourselves....

Starting to wonder if Wael will let the courts do his decision making for him, that way he saves face after allegedly persuading joey to join.
Just dont see us turning this around must be the worst strike force since Bubb and Dagnogo

Well add me to the list of 'I told you so' as well because I bloody well did. Far too many people were intoxicated by Barton celebrity and cheered as he took over every aspect of the club. So yeah now you are watching Joey Barton FC, you wanted this. If it makes you uncomfortable to hear others say they warned you then good, maybe that means you are finally listening. After the grief I received following JB's appointment, being laughed at, mocked, being called a shithead and told to P?!s of back to BS3, add me to the list as I too would like to say 'I told you so'.
I have tried my best to stay calm and debate without adding insults and I will continue to do so to try and stay as respectful as I can. But on this occasion I really don't give 2 flying *s how me saying 'I told you so' is perceived by anyone. I have the right to say 'I told you so' after what I received by posters on here.
I have previously stated I didn't want JB for 2 reasons, my dislike ofr him due to his past AND because I felt he wasn't actually a good manager.
Regardless of the result of his court cases as he keeps finding himself in these situations. I said it would be a matter of time that something will happen off the field and I was right.
His managerial record with us as that is clear to see. I was right when I said he is not a good manager at all.

I own everything I have said on it and firmly stick by it. What I am asking is why the need to call people out because they disagree with your viewpoint as this was said along time ago and it seems that you just want to stir to say i told you so and im right and you are wrong. It seems Wael is still firmly in the JB camp and if so then surely he must be seeing something that we are not and at the end 9f the day that who matters most not Billy big balls on Gaschat. Again still not really answered many of my questions and where have I said I know better than other league 1 managers I asked who has been shining in league 1 since they left us and it was a massive mistake to let them go as I have not heard that many have. Or do they need more time to settle into there new club and surroundings? Well the answer to your question about the league one players has been answered above by another poster. Plenty doing well. Again, I don't really see what the issue is with me challenging you on the things you've said. You seem not to be denying you've said it. You seem not to have changed your mind. So, why are you so upset that I'm challenging it? Is it because it's clearly a totally indefensible position to take? What with the fact that not only did we know how sh1t Barton was at his job at the time, not only did we know he was bad mouthing the club in the press, that he blamed everyone but himself, that he talked sh1t about players in the press, that he had a gambling problem, that he had an unanswered assault charge. Not only do we know all of that now, we also know he's recruited a load of rubbish and he's got ten points from ten games with his own squad. Knowing all of that you STILL think it's a good idea to allow him to control the club from top to bottom and somehow I'm the bad guy for having the temerity to question that pearl of wisdom. Also, there's no need for the personal "billy big bollox" stuff is there? You made it personal by calling us out when there really was no need to. I know exactly what I wrote and as stated stand by it and if Wael thinks he is the right man for the job that's good enough for me as I nor many others on here know what goes on behind the scenes. We couldn't go on how we were and needed a change even though I was happy enough to go with Ben Garner and give him a full season but it sounds like things behind the scenes changed after 7 games of the season.

Just dont see us turning this around must be the worst strike force since Bubb and Dagnogo I’m not sure how this continued situation is any sort of face saver for Wael, his continued backing of Barton is highly damaging to his own standing, seeing him convicted of assault and sacked for gross misconduct doesn’t help that. It’s a fool who cannot admit a mistake.

Starting to wonder if Wael will let the courts do his decision making for him, that way he saves face after allegedly persuading joey to join. Unfortunately I think you are correct. And if this is the case, then I would lose a lot of respect for Wael. I do like Wael and have said it many times but he isn't helping himself here. Bad appointment after bad appointment happens to a lot of owners. That is understandable that these things happen so I won't be harsh towards Wael for this. However, bringing in JB knowing his appointment would divide the fans at the time when we needed us all to be pulling together, was just pure bad decision making, especially knowing JB had a court case pending and didn't have much experience as a manager and no experience of a relegation dogfight. Also, I highly doubt Wael would have accepted in JB's job interview that sacrificing our L1 status was the way forward. Yet Wael has accepted this outcome and continues to actively supports it. If Wael is waiting for the outcome of the cases then we are just wasting time. If Wael dismisses JB due to the outcome of any court case or due to performance after the court cases, it could be well too late. What manager would come to us in Dec/Jan when we are struggling at the bottom of L2? We have more chance getting a good manager now as they will have more time available.

Not only is he failing spectacularly in that regard, he's officially the worst manager in our history.

One thing is for sure if we lose on Saturday against Carlisle I am pretty sure he will be gone the atmosphere will be toxic if that happens anybody remember the Crewe match in December 2011 which we lost 5-2 under Paul Buckle

Yes, I am quite aware of the reason LJG gave for picking out those two posters. As I said, the tone and repetition does not sit comfortably with me. If there is any posting that sits uncomfortably with anyone which you think needs the mods attention then please hit the report button so we can look at it.
Thanks.Apologies, it was a low level of uncomfortableness, probably just personal to me, nothing to take up valuable time of the moderators.
I will admit that I've become a bit more touchy about things over the last 6 months, not sure if it's the stress of Bartoniteness, or if I'm just turning into a bitter, old hag.

Correct its a results business at the end of the day but if the structure of the club is wrong then we will never go anywhere. There are plenty of things that I don't like at the moment and what the fix is I have no idea as I wouldn't have a clue of how to run a professional football club. If Wael thinks JB is the right man to get all that in place then we have to go with that whether you like it or not as he pays the wages and bills.

The thing is, the only thing I can really think of is the stadium - and who knows if we'll ever get that. Barton has culled everyone, and taken full control. So from a staff point of view, there's not really anything more to change. Both DC and GC got far more out of this club, with far less (e.g. much worse training facilities). So JBs excuses don't really hold. He's said he's got a brilliant budget, we've got a perfectly good enough training facility now, our stadium is sh*te - but that doesn't mean we can't win football matches. And FWIW - if we, the fans, stop going and putting our money up, the club won't last for long. We have far, far more power than you perhaps realise.

I agree with you about JB and his excuses,he has got what he wanted and now needs to produce the goods. I have always been a firm believer of given people time and that's more than 10 games. For me if things are no better by the end of December he has to go. If things are starting to change and we need a couple of additions in January then he gets the whole season. We pushed Ben Garner out too quickly as people were impatient I think it's time we stick whether your a JB fan or not because if we don't then the conference beckons.
