Why? Why not just worry about our own issues…this kind of comment is like the Wales rugby supporters who don’t care how crap their team is, as long as they beat England. Pathetic. Because they are our main rivals. If they are in the premier league, even more young fans, will follow them instead of us. Don’t know how that’s hard to work out?? They are not our rivals, they are light years ahead of us in every way. We need to concentrate all our emotional energy on League survival, not like Don Quixote, tilting at imaginary windmills. in the actuality I would assume, if they got into the Premiership, it would so increase awareness and interest in football locally, we would actually benefit.

Nothing pathetic at all mate,if city ever make the premiership it we will be similar to forest and county,if that's not already the case,no kids will want to follow rovers playing sutton, when they can watch the 82ers versus liverpool etc. Yes it is. What you appear to be advocating is a measurement of success that relies upon another club performing badly. That's terrible.

What you appear to be advocating is a measurement of success that relies upon another club performing badly. That's terrible. It's not a measurement of success, it's a practical element of our potential prosperity. It's pretty plain, istm, that there is a massive proportion of potential support in Bristol (and across the country/planet) who are really only interested in the Prem. And there's an element who might be interested in supporting a Bristol team who don't come from either of the city's traditional rovers/city supporting families. Anyone who is new to the city or not from those traditional families and interested in supporting a local team would have to have a pretty decent reason to go for Rovers and not City, so it's safe to say that City are hoovering up many of those potential supporters atm. But that will pale when compared to the name recognition, casual, plastic, whatever support they will earn if they get to the Prem. And it works the other way, why would a new fan go for Rovers even if we were in the third tier and City in the second? Even if they weren't inclined to go to Ashton Gate they might be put off going to the poorer relations. Then, if we were in the fourth tier and city in the prem, that disparity would be increased drastically. So even if you have a decent opinion of the Teds and held them no ill will at all, it would still be better for us if they were closer in the pyramid to us. Istm it would be great if we were both in the championship or both in the prem, but having them in the prem and us in the fourth (or fifth) tier would be a disaster for us. The massive gulf that has grown between us over the last twenty years might be doubled overnight.

Sorry Dad,…well not really. 😂

So he decided to write off £20 million, when it only left him with less than £23 million?? Nobody knows what he’s worth, but I expect it’s more than £23 million. You only needed to reply yes or no. You are guessing as much as I am.

Which I 100% agree with . 😀
