No I'm simply saying if you're a young fan who would you follow, premiership city or basement rovers? You'll follow whomever your Dad says you'll follow and that should be the end of it. Ah! I love those halcyon 60s and 70s days when everyone’s knew their place. UTG!

It says online his net worth is £400 million I think the experts on the other forum put it at considerably less than that. About £60m or so. Basically a pauper.

Let's hope lansdown never appears on that list. Why? Why not just worry about our own issues…this kind of comment is like the Wales rugby supporters who don’t care how crap their team is, as long as they beat England. Pathetic. Thing is though our Rugby team isn't sh**e though is it? #currentchampions #beatengland #most6nationsgrandslams

Football league will probably condemn the ground in 5 years time and not fit for purpose. So unless there is any sign of a ground or improvement at the mem by then it will not matter how rich the owner is.

I know what your point is, kinda agree, although I never want them to do well to be fair, just pointing out it's not a very good analogy as Wales' rugby team is quite a bit better than we are as a football team 😳

I’ve no idea of the total worth of WAQ, he may well be wealthier than a couple further down the list and he must be the wealthiest owner we’ve ever had. But our form over the past two years has meant that his wealth means very little. It’s great having money but if it’s not used wisely then it means b***** all.
UTG!

Of course we are as wealthy as these , just look at our star studded line up , Leon Clarke , Glen Whelan , Brett Pitman , Cost us a grand total of f**k all and all in the absolute prime of their careers 😂 TBF you don’t need to buy a Racehorse if you’re competing in the Donkey Derby. So he decided to write off £20 million, when it only left him with less than £23 million?? Nobody knows what he’s worth, but I expect it’s more than £23 million. Nobody really knows who's funding us, I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't only Wael given the loses he seems content to suffer. Fairly confident that Bristol Sport via Lansdown is helping the Gas out as he is all things bristol sport, he wouldn't want anything team bristol to fail would he and blot his copy book?

We have no idea what Wael is worth, hes never said. I do expect it to be around the £100m mark though as a personal fortune. The finances in football are so bent though that once you get to the prem, a large chunk of your spend comes from tv generated revenue to the tune of £60m. Add to that endorsements and increased sponsorship revenue, I doubt very much Deliah opens her own purse to pay the wages at Norwich. She does the catering cheaply mind.

Then again w/o is wealth we may have never got promoted to L1 and could well have hit serious financial problems if someone else hadn't saved us after we lost the court case and had to pay Sainsbury's legal costs in full.

Wael could be worth 50p, he could be worth £50bn.
If he chooses not to spend it on us, or if he does but spends it poorly then it doesn’t matter a trot.
From the sounds of it he’s willing to invest in us with facilities but wants us to be self sufficient as a result. Which is completely fair enough and to be honest, this is what I want anyway. I don’t want us to be owned by a sugar daddy.
That said, I’m not convinced by those who he is putting his trust in. The last three managers have been dire to date. And the board members have failed to deliver an agreement for a new stadium (at least, as far as we’re aware)

Then again w/o is wealth we may have never got promoted to L1 and could well have hit serious financial problems if someone else hadn't saved us after we lost the court case and had to pay Sainsbury's legal costs in full. Do you mean without his wealth? Not sure what practical impact his wealth had on us getting promoted after the window had closed in Feb 16 though of course you can’t measure the “good feel” we had in those last months of 15-16. But perhaps someone else could/would have taken us over. But that’s not what I said or implied was it? But whatever he’s spent on us we find ourselves half a league lower than we were when he took over. It seems a huge price to pay for getting worse. Btw, I still support WAQ but hope he can recruit some more effective leaders to implement what he wants. Our form over the past two years and decisions made have been poor. But looking at the League 2 table it just shows how close it is. Sutton were bottom 3 weeks ago now they’re in the play offs. Get two more consecutive wins and the mood will change, as it will this evening after a win. UTG!
