Belshaw 8 again called upon to produce some wonderful saves, blocking and coming out to support his defence.....this fella is fast becoming the best keeps we've had for years, really like his inclusion.
Hoole 8 can't remember him doing anything wrong! Mature beyond his years.
Taylor 8.5 nothing beat him ...in fact in one move, he beat 2 players! Quick turn, he brings the ball out creating space.....sign him on!
Harries 7.5 nice support. Took one booking for the team again....matey was through, but an interception from Cian meant he wasn't. Well done.
Brown 7 nice pushing forward, not sure he's the answer to lwb position...
Whelan 6.5 got stuck in.
Coutts 5 ummmmm..... anonymous.
Anderson 7 worked hard with his rwb cover but I prefer to see him attacking more.
Evans 8.5 m o m REVELATION! switching to the left, made numerous runs and space that wasn't picked up by mid....looks energetic and a perfect fit for that attacking niche. Didn't get his inclusion before, but assist last week and goal he created this, we have potential Bodin.
Saunders 8 again a great running energetic performance and 2 in 2 making him a menace to opposition defences.
Collins 7.5 absolute dynamo. Worked hard to stretch defence and provide physical appearance up front. Came deep to receive. Good all round game just needs a goal..
Subs: Anderton 7.5 actually galvanised the defence on his inclusion!
Thomas 8.5 the catalyst for last 2 goals.... sublime assists...
Nicholson 8.5 goaaaaaallllll! Nice to see him back in the mix.
Ref 5 ....a shame. I liked his decisions until he booked Saunders for a 50/50? ...and then went on to miss several other 'challenges'
Carlisle 4 mid table at most on this showing.....kinda disappointed, I thought until COVID, they were setting this division alight and would be top team challenging. Absolutely brill out shout to their fans for traveling and making some noise....top marks.
Ok ok ok JAB got it right....4-2-4 at home was what was needed....we worked hard for our win, but we'll done to everyone whom helped make this possible and restore some much needed faith.
Get up that f ing mountain or church steeple more often!

Belshaw 7.5 another confident display, communicates well with the defence. Hoole 7 he got most things right, a great prospect. Taylor 8 galvanised the defence, a future captain but sadly not for us. Harries 7.5 caught out once but an otherwise strong game,some good strong headers. Brown 7 he was probably having his best game when he went off, a great shame. Whelan 7 another one whom had his best game, showed his experience and quality. Coutts 6 still under performing Anderson 7 good first half, faded in the second half. Evans 8.5 M.o.M a great goal and he was always involved. Saunders 8 he deserved his goal, he ran tirelessly all game long. Collins 8 a quality game, all thats missing is a goal which will surely come soon. Subs: Anderton 7 slotted in nicely,the best i've seen him play. Thomas 8 changed a mundane game into a sparkling display Nicholson 7 welcome back Sam,stay fit and things will be brighter Ref 5 fussy Carlisle 5 almost as bad as we were last week. |

Belshaw some good saves and distribution was good 7.5
Hoole Excellent on the ground and in the air 8
Taylor Not troubled today but good to see him step out of defense with the ball at his feet very good 7
Harries one of his best games for us, starting to look the part. although opposition today offered little 7
Brown Rubbish corner apart looked ok until went off injured 7
Whelan much better then last week gave us a solid base and involved a lot 6.5
Coutts would prefer Grant but again improved significantly from last week 6
Anderson worked hard chased back and never gave up 7
Evans I think he has great skills at can play above this level wasn't sure he could perform for 90 mins but today showed he can, I think he will get better and worth his place motm 8.5
Saunders non stop running and deserved his goal 7
Collins we must play him ahead of Pitman he needs a goal but his work rate and willingness to chase I think will come good.7
Subs: Anderton 7
Thomas set up Nicholson's goal and had a buzz about him 7.5
Nicholson our best player just need to get him fir and playing 7
Ref 5 not helped by dodgy linesman but very average
Carlisle the side we needed to play today - very weak 4
